Clinical Study On Acupuncture Combined With Auricular Acupressure Bean In The Treatment Of Allergic Rhinitis(Lung Qi Deficiency And Cold Type)

Objective:A randomized controlled method was used to compare the clinical effects of acupuncture combined with auricular acupressure bean versus the Montelukast Sodium tablets in the treatment of Qi deficiency cold type allergic rhinitis.Also,it was done to check the efficacy and advantages of the two treatment modalities,so as to provide a convenient,simple,effective treatment of the allergic rhinitis.Methods:72 examinees who was accord with allergic rhinitis of lung qi deficiency cold type were included,They were divided into groups comprising 32 patients in the treatment group using acupuncture combined with auricular acupressure bean and 31 patients in the control group using Montelukast sodium tablets.Both were treated with one course and were followed up for 3 months.The statistical software SPSS23.0 was used to show the change of scores of each index before and after treatment and during the follow-up period between the two groups,using the aggregate score of nasal symptoms(TNSS),concomitant symptoms of rhinitis(TNNSS),and rhinoconjunctivitis related quality of life questionnaire(RQLQ)as the evaluation indicators of efficacy.Results:There were no statistical difference(P>0.05)between the two groups for each value and total score of the total score of nasal symptoms(TNSS),rhinitis accompanying symptoms(TNNSS)and rhinoconjunctivitis related quality of life(RQLQ)before the treatment.The sum of the scores was statistically considered same and comparisons of the values of the above-mentioned scales intra-and intergroup were attempted to observe the efficacy.1.Effect comparison:After the treatment courses of acupuncture combined with auricular acupressure bean group(32 patients):Out of 15 patients(46.88%),13 patients(40.63%)are effective and 4 patients(12.50%)are ineffective.The overall effective rate is87.50%.On the other hand,the group who were montelukast sodium tablets group(31patients):out of 7 patients(22.58%),17 patients(54.84%)are effective.well 7patients(22.58%)are ineffective.The overall effective rate is 77.42%(P=0.048).The difference was statistically significant between two sets.2.Nasal symptom(TNSS):The scores of the same group before and after treatment were statistically different(P<0.05),and the total score after treatment was statistically different(P=0.021).Compared with the two groups,the total score of follow-up period was significantly different(P=0.004).3.Nasal concomitant symptoms(TNNSS):There was significant difference in score before and after treatment(P<0.05),and no significant difference in total score after treatment(P=0.728).and there was no statistical difference in the total score of the follow-up period between the two groups(P=0.719).4.Rhinoconjunctivitis related quality of life questionnaire(RQLQ):the scores obtained before and after treatment within the group were all statistically different(P<0.05),the total scores obtained after treatment were statistically different between the two groups(P=0.031).There was a difference in the total score between the two groups during the follow-up period(P=0.022).Conclusion:Studies have shown that acupuncture combined with auricular acupressure and montelukast sodium tablets both ameliorate nasal symptoms,concomitant symptoms of rhinitis,and rhino conjunctivitis related quality of life in patients with allergic rhinitis,and the former effect is better in terms of nasal symptoms and rhino conjunctivitis related quality of life than montelukast sodium tablets,with better long-term outcomes.
