Clinical Control Study Of Acupuncture And Hormone In The Treatment Of Early Severe Facial Paralysis

Objective: To explore the clinical significance of acupuncture combined with hormone in the treatment of early severe facial paralysis,and to provide the basis for the selection of early acupuncture treatment scheme for severe facial paralysis.Methods: 60 patients with early severe facial paralysis were randomly divided into simple acupuncture group(group A)and acupuncture combined with hormone group(group B),30 cases in each group.Group A was treated with simple acupuncture,once a day for the first 5 days and once every other day after 5 days;group B was treated with hormone in the early stage on the basis of simple acupuncture group,and stopped after 5 days.Taking 3 months as the observation period,the clinical efficacy was evaluated by House Hrackmann(H-B)facial nerve function grading scale and traditional chinese medicine symptom score scale.The course of treatment,treatment times and incidence of sequelae of the two groups were compared.Result:(1)After the experiment,57 cases were completed,including 29 cases in group A and 28 cases in group B.(2)The curative effect of H-B facial nerve function was evaluated: 15 cases were cured in group A,7 cases were effective,4 effective and 3 were ineffective;22 cases were cured in group B,4 cases were effective,1 case was effective and 1 case was invalid.The results of rank sum test showed that the difference of the efficacy of H-B facial nerve function between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).It is proved that both groups are effective clinical programs in promoting facial nerve function recovery,but acupuncture combined with hormone group has more significant effect.(3)The curative effect evaluation of traditional chinese medicine symptom score: In group A,13 cases were cured,6 cases were markedly effective,7 cases were effective and 3 cases were invalid;In group B,19 cases were cured,6 cases were markedly effective,2 cases were effective and 1 case was invalid.By rank sum test,there was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05),which proved that acupuncture combined with hormone group was better than acupuncture group in improving TCM symptoms.(4)Comparison of course of treatment and times of treatment in cured cases The course of treatment and treatment times of the two groups were compared.After statistical analysis,the course of treatment and treatment times of the two groups were statistically significant(P < 0.05),indicating that the treatment course of the acupuncture combined with hormone group was shorter and the treatment times were less.(5)Comparison of the incidence of sequelae between the two groups According to the chi square test,there was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).The recovery rate of acupuncture combined with hormone group was higher than that of the control group,and the incidence of sequelae was lower than that of the control group.Conclusion: In the clinical treatment of early severe facial paralysis,compared with the simple acupuncture treatment,acupuncture combined with hormone therapy has better clinical curative effect,promoting facial nerve function recovery and improving the symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine,and can shorten the cure course,reduce the number of treatment and reduce the incidence of sequelae,which has great clinical significance.It is suggested that acupuncture combined with hormonal therapy should be adopted in the treatment of early severe facial paralysis.
