Purpose :In order to provide reference for clinical treatment in treating migraine patients with Liver-Yang Hyperactivity by "Tian Gong Xiao Yao Decoction",the author has observed the decoction’s efficacy and safety indicators and evaluated its effectiveness and safety, too.Method:The research adopted a randomized controlled method to divide equally 90 patients with Liver-Yang Hyperactivity, from the Department of Brain Disease,Zhangzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, dated from January 2020 to December 2020,into observation group and control group. The observation group were treated with Tian Gong Xiao Yao Decoction and Flunarizine Hydrochloride Capsules, while the control group was treated with Flunarizine Hydrochloride Capsules only. After 4 weeks, the curative effect indicators such as the score of TCM syndromes, headache score, migraine specific quality of life score and visual analogue scale were observed, and the liver and kidney function,as well as electrocardiogram were taken as safety indicators to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of "Tian Gong Xiao Yao Decoction".Result:1.A total of 90 cases were included in this study, and 83 cases completed clinical observation.Among them,3 cases fell off in the observation group and 4 cases fell off in the control group. The fall rate was 7.78%.2.Before treatment,Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference of the two group patients in gender, age, education level, occupation, course of disease, degree of headache, composition of migraine with aura and non-aura,headache score, visual analog scale, migraine specific 1uality of life questionnaire and individual TCM symptoms(P>0.05).3.TCM Syndrome Scores: After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were lower than before(P<0.01).The TCM syndrome scores of the observation group decreased from 19.71±5.85 to 6.95±4.80,while the TCM syndrome score of the control group decreased from20.05±5.97 to 11.10±7.27,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).The result of the total clinical treatment efficiency of TCM syndromes showed that the total effective rate of the observation group was 92.86%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 75.61%.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).4.Headache Scores: After treatment, the headache scores of the two groups were lower than before(P<0.01).The headache scores of the observation group decreased from13.90±3.59 to 6.45±4.45,and the headache scores of the control group decreased from14.12±3.61 8.68±5.55,the difference between the two groups is statistically significant(P<0.05);the total effective rate of the observation group and the control group is92.86% and73.17% respectively. The difference between the two groups of clinical efficacy is statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Visual Analog Scale : Compared with groups before treatment, two groups decreased(P<0.01),the observation group decreased from 76.81±14.60 mm to 28.67±19.18 mm,and the control group decreased from 77.44±14.27 mm to 42.34±26.86 mm.Compared with the groups, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);6.Migraine Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire score: After treatment, the two groups were higher than usual(P<0.01),the observation group rose from 46.31±12.21 to77.33±12.68,and the control group’s rose from 46.22±12.86 to 68.15±16.93,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01);7.There were no obvious adverse events during the clinical observation. Before and after treatment, the safety indicators such as liver and kidney function and electrocardiogram of the two groups were normal and no abnormal changes were seen. The difference was not statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Tian Gong Xiao Yao Decoction combined with Flunarizine Hydrochloride Capsules is better than Flunarizine Hydrochloride Capsules alone in treating migraine patients with Liver-Yang Hyperactivity, and it can significantly reduce the degree of headaches, relieve accompanying symptoms such as irritability, xerostomia, and improve the quality of life.2.Tian Gong Xiao Yao Decoction has no adverse reactions and is safe.
