Study On Social Work Intervention In Public Health Emergencies

At the beginning of 2020,the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic has brought great harm to the society.Now,the epidemic situation in our country has stabilized.Reviewing the response process of the COVID-19 epidemic,social work,as a professional force,has actively participated in the practice of epidemic prevention and control and made important contributions.In his speech on February 23,2020,President Xi Jinping proposed to give full play to the professional advantages of social work in epidemic prevention and control,and fully affirmed the importance of social work involved in epidemic prevention and control.As a public health emergency,COVID-19 has the characteristics of sudden,rapid spread,strong infectivity,wide range of influence and so on.Through the method of combining theory with practice,the author studies the social work intervention under public health emergencies.First of all,use the literature research method to consult the data,summarize the previous discussions on the involvement of social work in public health emergencies,and use SWOT analysis to summarize and analyze the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and challenges of social work intervention.Next,in order to understand the real situation of social work involved in the prevention and control of COVID-19’s epidemic situation,the author went deep into H social organizations,S Hospital and X community,and used semi-structured interviews and participatory observation to collect the necessary data.in practice,summarize the participation of social work after the epidemic.Moreover,based on the crisis intervention theory to carry out case services for vulnerable groups under the influence of the epidemic,to understand the perspective and difficulties of social workers’ intervention.Finally,based on the above analysis and practical investigation,based on the four elements of social action theory,purpose,norms,actors and situations,this paper puts forward an effective mechanism for social work to intervene in public health emergencies based on the principles of strengthening strengths and avoiding weaknesses and risks,that is,strengthening the construction of top-level design mechanism and strengthening the construction of professional team mechanism.Strengthen the construction of local social work service standard mechanism and strengthen the construction of multi-disciplinary cooperation mechanism.The purpose of this study is to provide reference and reference for the practice of social work involved in public health emergencies.
