Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of XingNao KaiQiao acupuncture combined with meridian muscle acupuncture in the treatment of spastic paralysis of lower extremities after stroke. Methods: There were enrolled 64 subjects in this study, all from the acupuncture ward of the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of TCM.The subjects were haphazardly separated into two perception bunch(n=32).In the study,1 case fell off within the perception bunch and 2 cases in another. In the study,1 case fell off in the observation group and 2 cases in another. At last, the perception group included 31 cases and another group included 30 cases. On the basis of routine treatment and XingNao KaiQiao acupuncture, the subjects in the observation group were treated with meridian tendon acupuncture, that is,hip, knee and ankle meridian joints were selected for acupuncture combined with Yang Ming meridian tendon row acupuncture, whereas the control bunch was treated with conventional acupuncture. In both groups,Each patient gotten needle therapy treatment once a day and the treatment cycle was 2weeks.The curative effect of the patients was evaluated before treatment, immediately after the first acupuncture, the 7th day of acupuncture(the end of the first course of treatment)and the 14 th day of acupuncture(the end of the second course of treatment).Evaluation index:The lower limb muscle tension was evaluated by MAS scale, and the clinical efficacy of the two treatment schemes was evaluated according to the improvement before and after treatment;CSI scale was used to evaluate the improvement of lower limb spasticity;FMA scale was used to evaluate the improvement of lower limb motor function before and after treatment; The effects on patients’ activities of daily living is evaluated by MBI scale.Results:1.Comparison of general conditions before treatment: There was no significant in baseline data such as sex, stroke type, age and course of disease between the two groups and the difference in MAS before treatment was not shown either, indicating that the degree of spasm was comparable.2.Clinical efficacy: According to the changes of MAS rating before and after treatment, the clinical efficacy of the two treatment schemes was evaluated. The total effective rate varied in two groups. That is 83.87% in the meridian muscle acupuncture group, and 56.67% in the traditional acupuncture group. The rate of the meridian muscle acupuncture group was higher, and the distinction was statistically critical(P<0.05).3.Changes of spasticity of lower extremities: Comparison of observation time points in the two groups: The CSI scores of them at the end of treatment were significantly lower than those before, indicating that the two treatment methods could improve the spasticity of lower limbs. On the 7th day after acupuncture treatment, there was significant difference in the score of the observation group, but difference in the control group was not shown. It can be seen that the observation group showed significant curative effect at the end of the first course of treatment, while the control group showed at the second course, indicating that the observation group took effect more quickly.Comparison between the two bunches: Critical contrast was not shown in CSI scores some time recently treatment and instantly after the primary treatment. With the treatment prolonged, the CSI score in both groups showed a downward trend, and compared with the control group, the score of the other group was obviously lower on the 7th and 14 th day of treatment, and difference between them was significant(P<0.05),showing that the curative impact of the perception bunch was superior than that of the control bunch at the conclusion of the primary and second course of needle therapy.4.Improvement of motor function of lower extremities: Comparison at each observation time point in the group: At the end of treatment, the scores of FMA scale within the two bunches were essentially higher than prior treatment, the distinction between them was noteworthy(P<0.05).Critical difference was not fouded in FMA scores between the two bunches before the treatment and instantly after the primary treatment.Compared with the control group, the FMA score of the observation group was obviously higher on the 7th and 14 th day of treatment, and difference between them was significant(P<0.05).It shows that the two treatment methods can effectively improve the motor function of lower limbs, and the corrective impact of the perception group is superior than the other.5.Improvement of activities of daily living: Comparison at each observation time point in the group: At the end of acupuncture treatment, the MBI score was both higher than the prior, and the score differs from before and after treatment significantly(P<0.05).Comparison between groups:The MBI score of them was not significantly different before acupuncture treatment, indicating that it is comparable(P>0.05),and it is same in the immediate acupuncture treatment.Compared with the control group, the MBI score of the observation group was obviously higher on the 7th and 14 th day of treatment, and difference between them was significant(P<0.05).It shows that the two treatment schemes can effectively improve the ability of daily living of patients, and the corrective impact of the perception group is superior than the other. Conclusion: 1.XingNao KaiQiao acupuncture combined with meridian tendon acupuncture and XingNao KaiQiao acupuncture combined with traditional acupuncture can improve the spasticity of lower extremities in stroke patients, and the clinical effect of meridian tendon acupuncture is better than that of traditional acupuncture.2.Both meridian tendon acupuncture and traditional acupuncture can improve the motor function of lower extremities in patients with stroke, and compared with traditional acupuncture, meridian tendon acupuncture is more effective.3.Both the meridian tendon acupuncture method and the traditional acupuncture method can improve the ability of daily life of the patients, and in the short-term treatment(within 2weeks),the curative effect of the meridian tendon acupuncture method is better than that of the traditional acupuncture method.4.XingNao KaiQiao acupuncture combined with meridian muscle acupuncture in the treatment of lower limb spastic paralysis after stroke is effective and feasible.
