Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Changpu Wendan Decoction by observing the effect of flavor on the single score and total score of TCM symptoms, the office blood pressure,24-hour ambulatory blood pressure and Du’s hypertension quality of life scale scores in patients with essential hypertension(phlegm-dampness type). Methods:From July 2020 to December 2020,60 patients who were diagnosed with grade 1 hypertension(phlegm-dampness type)and met the inclusion criteria in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected. They were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group(30 in each). The control group was treated with lifestyle improvement. On the basis of the lifestyle improvement, the experimental group was treated with Changpu Wendan Decoction. For both, the treatment course was 4 weeks. The changes of the single score and total score of TCM symptoms, office blood pressure,24-hour ambulatory blood pressure and Du’s hypertension quality of life scale score before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment in the two groups were compared and adverse events during medication were recorded. After statistical analysis by SPSS22.0 software, the clinical efficacy and safety of Changpu Wendan Decoction in patients with essential hypertension(phlegmdampness type)were evaluated.Result:1.Single score of TCM symptoms: compared with before treatment, all the single scores of TCM symptoms in the experimental group significantly decreased after 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05);after 4 weeks of treatment, the scores of vertigo, headache, head wrapping, chest tightness, vomiting phlegm and saliva and palpitation in the control group significantly decreased(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in insomnia, light mouth and less food(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, compared with the control group, there was a significant difference in the individual scores of TCM symptoms in the experimental group, which was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Total score of TCM symptoms: compared with before treatment, the total score of TCM symptoms of patients in the two groups significantly decreased after 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, compared with the control group, the total score of TCM symptoms of patients in the experimental group were significantly different, which was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of TCM syndromes in the experimental group was 82.76%,and 65.52% in the control group. The total effective rate of TCM syndromes in the experimental group was higher than that of the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Office blood pressure: compared with before treatment, the systolic and diastolic blood pressure of patients in the two groups were significantly reduced after 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, compared with the control group, the systolic and diastolic blood pressures of the experimental group were significantly different, which was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of blood pressure reduction in the experimental group was 86.21%,and that of the control group was 68.96%.The total effective rate of blood pressure reduction in the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.24-hour ambulatory blood pressure: compared with before treatment, the 24-hour,daytime and nighttime average blood pressure of patients in the two groups were significantly reduced after 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, compared with the control group, there were significant differences in the 24-hour,daytime and nighttime average blood pressure of patients in the experimental group, which were statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Du’s hypertension quality of life scale score: compared with before treatment, the Du’s hypertension quality of life scale scores of the two groups were significantly improved after 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).After 4weeks of treatment, compared with the control group, the score of Du’s hypertension quality of life scale in the experimental group were significantly different, which was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Changpu Wendan Decoction can reduce the single score and total score of TCM synptoms of patients with grade 1 essential hypertension(phlegm-dampness type),and improve the clinical symptoms of TCM;2.Changpu Wendan Decoction can reduce the office blood pressure and24-hour ambulatory blood pressure of patients with grade 1 essential hypertension(phlegm-dampness type),improve the Du’s hypertension quality of life scale scores and improve the quality of life of patients;3.Changpu Wendan Decoction is safe and reliable in the treatment of patients with grade 1 essential hypertension(phlegm-dampness type)without adverse reactions.
