Research On Professor Li Sining’s Experience In Treating Essential Hypertension Based On Data Mining

ObjectivePrescriptions with Chinese herbs for essential hypertension treated by Professor Li Sining were collected.Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assist Platform was used to analyse medication regularity so as to summarize Li Sining,s experience in treating essential hypertension,providing foundation for treating essential hypertension with Chinese medicine.MethodsWith retrospective clinical research method,400 prescriptions were enrolled.The patients consulted with professor Li Sining in the department of cardiovascular medicine,Guangzhou university of Traditional Chinese Medicine,for their sufferings from essential hypertension during October 2018 to May 2020.Statistical statement and analysis module based on Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assist Platform(V2.5 version)were used to investigate medication rule.Results1.400 prescriptions and 227 Chinese herbs were included.2.The most commonly used Chinese herbs were Epimedium,Ligustrum lucidum ait,Loranthus parasiticus,Root-bark of Chinese wolfberry,Ligusticum wallichii,Eclipta,Rhizoma curculiginis,ect.The main types of Chinese herbs are Yang-tonifying herbs,Yin-tonifying herbs,blood-activating herbs,liver-calming herbs and phlegm-eliminating herbs.3.Most herbs were warm,cold and mild,with sweet,bitter and pungent properties.Liver,spleen and kidney are the main effective locations for herbs using.4.In the medication rule,65 commonly used core herb combinations,which are commonly used by Professor Li Sining in clinical diagnosis and treatment of essential hypertension,was obtained by seting "support degree" to 100 and "confidence degree" to0.9.There are 10 drug combinations used more than 141 times,which are Epimedium and Ligustrum lucidum ait,Rhizoma curculiginis and Epimedium,Rhizoma curculiginis and Root-bark of Chinese wolfberry,Root-bark of Chinese wolfberry and Epimedium,Rhizoma curculiginis,Root-bark of Chinese wolfberry and Epimedium,Rhizoma curculiginis and Ligustrum lucidum ait,Ligustrum lucidum ait and Eclipta,Root-bark of Chinese wolfberry and Ligustrum lucidum ait,Epimedium and Loranthus parasiticus,Rhizoma curculiginis,Root-bark of Chinese wolfberry and Ligustrum lucidum ait.The core prescription was obtained by associated rule analysis of common drug combinations,which was composed of Loranthus parasiticus,Ligustrum lucidum ait,Eclipta,Epimedium,Rhizoma curculiginis,Root-bark of Chinese wolfberry,Rhizoma alismatis,Dogwood and Leonurus.5.Based on unsupervised entropy cluster analysis,16 core traditional Chinese medicine combinations and 8 new prescriptions were obtained with correlation degree of 8and punishment degree of 4.The commonly used clinical prescriptions included:(1)Dogwood,Pinellia ternata,Rhizoma alismatis,Loranthus parasiticus and Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae;(2)Radix rehmannia praeparata,Angelica sinensis,Cortex cinnamomi,Semen euryales and Pyrolae;(3)Uncaria rhynchophylla,Radix achyranthis bidentatae,Rhizoma gastrodiae,Rhizoma curculiginis,Root-bark of Chinese wolfberry and Eclipta;(4)Ligustrum lucidum ait,Epimedium,Loofah sponge,Rhizoma curculiginis and Loranthus parasiticus,which has the effects of tonifying kidney and eliminating phlegm,tonifying kidney yin and replenishing essence,tonifying kidney and calming liver and tonifying kidney yin and kidney yang.ConclusionBased on the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assist Platform,this study analyzes the medication rule of Professor Li Sining’s traditional Chinese medicine prescription for treating essential hypertension and draws the following conclusions:1.Location of essential hypertension: The disease locates mainly in kidney,closely relates to liver and involve in heart,spleen,lung.2.Pathogenesis of essential hypertension: Hypertension is the syndrome of deficiency in root and excess in extremity.Kidney deficiency is the basis,phlegm turbidity,blood stasis and hyperactivity of liver yang are the extremity.3.Treatment of essential hypertension:Essential hypertension is treated primaryly by tonifying kidney.Its treatment including tonifying kidney and resolving phlegm,tonifying kidney yin and replenishing essence,tonifying kidney and calming liver and tonifying kidney yin and kidney yang.4.Prescription: Ligustrum lucidum ait and Eclipta are commonly used to nourish kidney yin,Epimedium and Rhizoma curculiginis are used to tonify kidney yang,Loranthus parasiticus is used to tonify liver and kidney,Root-bark of Chinese wolfberry is used to reduce asthenic fever of liver and kidney,Rhizoma alismatis is used to drain water and turbidity,Dogwood is used to tonify kidney yin and replenish essence,Leonurus is used to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis.5.Academic thought: Profession Li attaches great importance to innate essence and makes good use of tonifying kidney to treat essential hypertension.At the same time,the five internal organs are involved in the pathogenesis of essential hypertension.In clinical treatment experience,the pathological factors such as blood stasis,turbid phlegm and hyperactivity of yang should be taken into account and use flexible methods adapted to the syndrome.
