Objective: Investigate the effect of ozone hydrotherapy on Imiquimod(IMQ)-induced psoriatic lesions in mice and its possible mechanism,and provide a new way and theoretical basis for the therapy of rats.Methods: Apply imiquimod cream to the back of 50 male BALB/c mice continuously for 8 days to construct mice models of psoriasis,and randomly select and execute 10 mice to check and proof all the models were successful.The remaining 40 psoriasis mouse models successfully guided by imiquimod were stochastically divided into 2 groups,namely the ozone hydrotherapy treatment group and the water matched group,20 mice in each group.Mice in each group were treated differently for 2 weeks.After 2 weeks,execute all mice,take the eyeballs to draw blood.The serum expression levels of IL-17 and IL-23 in mice were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and surgical removal back skin tissue to perform histopathological examination.The morphological changes of skin lesions were observed.Use SPSS26.0software to analyze the relevance between the expression levels of IL-17 and IL-23 in the serum of the ozone hydrotherapy treatment group.Result:(1)After the successful constructed the models,the histopathological sections of the skin lesions of the psoriasis-like mice showed varying degrees of hyperkeratosis with incomplete keratosis,thick spinous layer,lymphocyte infiltration in the lower part of the epidermis,and obvious edema of the dermal papilla.(2)The levels of IL-17 and IL-23 in the serum of mice in the ozone hydrotherapy therapy group were significantly lower than those of pure water(t=3.77 and 5.39,both P values <0.01),and the difference was statistically significant.(3)There was a positive relevance between IL-17 and IL-23 in the serum of mice in the ozone hydrotherapy therapy group(r = 0.61,P <0.01).Conclusion:(1)Pathological observations show that ozone hydrotherapy can effectively alleviate the skin lesions of psoriasis-like mice induced by imiquimod,indicating that ozone hydrotherapy may be used for the treatment of psoriasis.(2)The expression level of IL-17 and IL-23 in the serum of mice in the ozone hydrotherapy treatment group was significantly lower than that of purified water,indicating that ozone hydrotherapy was used to treat the skin lesions of psoriasis-like mice induced by imimod It may be that the reduction of IL-17 and(3)the IL-17 and IL-23 in the serum of mice in the ozone hydrotherapy treatment group have a positive correlation,and it is said that they may play a synergistic effect in the pathogenesis of psoriasis mice.
