Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Psoriasis Vulgaris Of The Scalp (damp-heat Syndrome) By Baihuang Kushen Lotion For External Use

ObjectiveThe study is to observe and analyze the clinical efficacy of Baihuang Kushen Lotion in the treatment of Psoriasis Vulgaris of the Scalp(damp-heat syndrome),and to clarify the clinical value of Baihuang Kushen Lotion in the treatment of Psoriasis Vulgaris of the Scalp.MethodsAll selected seventy-two cases were from the dermatology department of the Sichuan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,the patients diagnosed with Psoriasis Vulgaris of the Scalp(damp-heat syndrome)were randomly divided into 2groups,treatment group and control group with 36 cases in each group.The treatment group were treated with Baihuang Kushen lotion,and the control group received Calcipotriol Scalp Solution treatment.both groups were treated by taking oral Chinese medicine preparation the Bixie Shenshi Decoction as a basic oral medication treatment.There were 2 courses of treatment,one course for 3 weeks,after6 weeks of treatment,the improvement of skin lesions and symptoms before and after treatment was recorded in both groups and the test data were tallied and analyzed for efficacy using SPSS software.Results1.Intra group comparison was made between the treatment group and the control group after 3 weeks and 6 weeks of treatment,and the PASI score,itching score and DLQI score before and after treatment were all of statistical significance(P < 0.05).2.After 6 weeks of treatment,PASI score,scalp area score,infiltration score and total effective rate were compared between 2 groups,and the difference was not statistically significant between the two groups(P > 0.05).3.After 6 weeks of treatment,erythema score,scale score,DLQI score and pruritus score were compared between the treatment group and the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion1.In the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris(damp-heat syndrome),both Baihuang Kushen lotion Sophora and Calcipotriol Scalp Solution can improve the clinical symptoms,relieve the itching and improve the quality of life.2.Baihuang Kushen lotion was superior to Calcipotriol Scalp Solution in relieving itching,improving erythema,reducing scales and improving patients’ quality of life in the treatment of Psoriasis Vulgaris of the Scalp.
