Through classroom observation,it is found that teachers rarely spend time in guiding English reading in elementary school English classroom teaching.Over time,students lose the practicality of language learning in the process of learning languages,and cannot truly experience and understand the charm of English language.Situational teaching method has been widely used in primary school English,but the application of primary school English reading teaching is lack of thinking.The situational teaching method exists in the application of reading aloud in the upper grades of elementary school:the purpose of the application is only to understand the text,the application method is single,and the application process is formalized,which directly affects the application effect of the situational teaching method in the reading aloud teaching and the students’ reading of English.Learning interest.Therefore,the author regards "the application of situational teaching method in English reading aloud in elementary school" as the core of this research,investigates and understands the current situation and effect of application of situational teaching method in English reading aloud in elementary school,and analyzes the situational teaching method Correlation between the application process and application effect in reading aloud teaching,based on which,we explore how to correctly apply the situational teaching method to the teaching of reading aloud in the upper grades of primary schools,in order to provide teachers with feasibility suggestions.In this study,the students of grades 5 and 6 of X Primary School in Yanji City and all English teachers were used as the research object.The"Survey Questionnaire on the Application of Situational Teaching Method in English Reading Aloud in Primary Schools" was compiled to 5 classes using literature method and classroom observation method.In the questionnaire survey of 240 students.Using behavior verification methods and classroom recordings and other methods,we recorded 31 readings in fifth grade and 24 readings in sixth grade.We interviewed 6 English teachers and 15 students.Through the questionnaire survey combined with the results of classroom observation and interview survey,the current situation of the application of situational teaching method in English reading aloud in primary schools is described;the current situation of the application effect of situational teaching method in English reading aloud in primary schools is analyzed;the situation is abstractly summarized The problems and causes of the application of the teaching method in the English reading teaching in the upper grades of elementary schools.The survey found that the situational teaching method is more inclined to understand the reading texts in the application purpose of reading reading in the upper grades of primary schools,and lacks the inspiration for students’ thinking;the application method of the situational teaching method is relatively simple,which leads to the poor enthusiasm of the students;the situational teaching method In the teaching of reading aloud,the application process is formalized,the situation integration is not in-depth,the situation replacement is not practical,and the situation summary is not in place.Through analysis and argumentation,the author draws the following conclusions:(1)Teachers’ insufficient understanding of situational teaching method,which leads to the emphasis on textual understanding and light thinking in the application of English reading aloud in elementary school for senior students;(2)Teachers choose situational teaching The application method of the method tends to be more multimedia,and the implementation method is relatively simple,resulting in poor student enthusiasm;(3)The level of application of the situational teaching method is average,and the application process is formalized,resulting in poor application of the situational teaching method.Based on the above problems,the author puts forward the following suggestions:(1)Teachers:First,transform traditional teaching concepts,and second,enrich professional knowledge of English subjects;(2)Scene setting:First,teachers should create realistic scenarios that are realistic,Secondly,teachers should integrate a variety of methods for reading aloud teaching and get rid of excessive dependence on multimedia.Finally,teachers should focus on students to understand the differences between students;(3)School:First,actively provide opportunities for teacher training,second,improve The assessment of teachers’ teaching ability is comprehensive and targeted.
