A Report On Escort Interpreting Of ZF Company

With rapid development of domestic economy,China’s technical exchanges with other countries are increasingly close.Globalization brings opportunities and challenges to Chinese enterprises,so how to comply with era to realize international exchanges and cooperation has become an urgent issue for domestic companies.Based on this,interpreters play a significant role in various international activities.This practice report is based on the author’s 20 days’ personal experience as an escort interpreter for three engineers from ZF Company in Shanxi Aoution Factory,including factory,daily and traveling escort interpreting.This report is a reflection and summary of the author’s interpreting practice.The author selects the live recording of the practice as the object and analyzes various problems appeared in the practice to discuss the corresponding interpreting strategies and solutions.At the same time,under the guidance of the Adaptation Theory,the author explores the value of the Adaptation Theory from four perspectives in interpreting practice,so as to improve the quality and efficiency of the work.It is hoped that this report can provide reference for learners of interpreting.This report is divided into four parts.Firstly,it introduces the background,task features and requirements and structure of this report.Chapter two explains the process of interpreting practice,among which pre-interpreting preparation includes subject knowledge,glossary building-up,and other crucial preparations,followed by interpreting process and client and self-evaluation.Chapter three analyzes the deficiencies in the interpreting practice and suggestions for improvement under the guidance of Adaptation Theory.Finally,in the conclusion,the author summarizes the achievements and thinking of the interpretation practice,and puts forward the prospects and suggestions in this field.
