The Design Of A Chinese Character Learning Software Based On The Android Platform

With the development of China’s overall national strength and the status in the international community,Chinese has becoming more and more popular in the world.However,most foreigners don’t have the opportunities to come to China to learn Chinese.Although hanban has established some Confucius institutes overseas and many foreign schools have formally incorporated Chinese into the teaching system,it is far from enough to meet the huge demand for Chinese language in foreign countries.In particular,Chinese characters are more difficult for foreigners to learn and memorize.If you do not rely on the aid of good learning tools,it is very difficult to learn by yourself.To solve these problems,this paper will analyze the characteristics of mobile learning and the methods of Chinese characters learning.And then design a learning APP to help foreigners learn Chinese characters,which is based on Android platform.The Android operating system is favored by the majority of users because of its simple interface,smooth running and convenient operation.There is no doubt that developing a Chinese character learing APP for this platform has a tremendous value,because learner can study new knowledges whenever they want.This design adopts the structural idea of software engineering,using the standard software design process,combining OCR algorithm,My SQL and other technologies.The Chinese character learning APP,learning Chinese characters easily,has been developed using the steps of the feasibility study,requirements analysis,outline design,detailed design and testing.The software major functions are character searching,Chinese character teaching,my home page and the others.In the core part of the software,the Chinese character teaching section,not only contains conventional learning contents such as Chinese character pronunciation,stroke order and interpretation,but also innovatively opens up a module to analyze and explain the meaning of Chinese characters and the cultural connotation behind them to learners by using "the Six Categories of Chinese Characters " theory.The software also provides various types of Chinese character games,videos,pictures and other resources to stimulate users’ interest in learning and improve learning efficiency so that users can easily and efficiently learn no matter when and where.The software,Easy to learn Chinese characters,organically combines the interdisciplinary fields of teaching Chinese characters to foreigners,modern educational technology and software development,providing new ideas for the promotion of Chinese learning and the spread of Chinese culture.In may 2019,the author has applied for software copyright for the software.If this software can be published in the future,it will definitely contribute to the development of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.
