With the continuous improvement of China’s economic development level,the exchanges between China and foreign c ountries are getting closer,as English is the most widely used language in the world,China’s requirements for foreign languages,especially English,is constantly increasing.So it is an important task to cultivate the oral English communicative ability of the new generation of young students under the current international situation.According to the author’s investigation,the phenomenon of "dumb English" in the oral English class of secondary vocational schools is obvious.Based on this,the author adopts APP to assist oral English teaching,and observes the effect of the APP supported by information technology on the oral English level and learning attitude of secondary vocational students.In this study,through the literature analysis method,based on the second language acquisition of oral English learning,output hypothesis and autonomous learning theory,and combined with the learning characteristics of secondary vocational students,the teaching content and the function of the APP,the oral English teaching process supported by the APP is designed.Then adopt the quasi-experimental research method to carry out teaching practice in a secondary vocational school in Shandong Province,select two parallel classes as the control group and the experimental group,and implement the oral teaching of APP participation in the experimental group within one semester.Finally,a questionnaire survey was used to explore the influence of APP teaching on learning attitude,and oral test was conducted to explore the effect of APP teaching on oral English level.Through the interviews with some students,the paper makes an in-depth analysis of the influence of APP teaching on the learning effect and students’ views on APP teaching,so as to comprehensively understand the role of APP in oral English teaching of secondary vocational schools.The study found that the oral English teaching supported by APP could improve the overall pronunciation level of students,among which the pronunciation of words improved greatly,the continuous reading improved slightly,and the intonation and stress did not change significantly.It is helpful to improve students’ oral communication level,among which the fluency improved maximally,the vocabulary and grammar improved slightly,and the content did not change obviously.In addition,it is helpful to improve students’ enthusiasm in oral English learning.Therefore,it is suggested that teachers should actively use the APP to improve learners’ learning attitude and oral English level through the following reading,scoring,sharing,punching cards and other functions of APP in oral English class.Meanwhile,teachers should pay attention to control the learning progress in class and eliminate the interference of mobile phones and maintain classroom order,so as to weaken the negative impact of APP teaching.
