Strategie Of Interpreting Category Words In Chinese-French Consecutive Interpretation A Study Based On The Mock Conference Of The 2020 International Colloque On COVID-19

In Chinese-French consecutive interpretation,the oral french production tends to be more redundant compared with the original Chinese text,which complicates the timing of interpretation.One of the reasons is due to the category nouns in Chinese.The diffrence between two languages is evident: Chinese is an analytical and language in which the paratactical relations between words can be sensed,while French is reknown as a synthetical language,emphasizing the precise hypotaxis.The unique category nouns in Chinese often represent a disturbing factor for Chinese-French consecutive interpretation.This thesis dicusses on the solutions of interpreting category nouns in Chinese-French consecutive interpretation.It begins with an introduction of the usage and the role of category nouns precedentally recognized by the author.While moving on the study of the simulated conference the author will analyse the correct and incorrect interpretation of category nouns,giving correctional proposals and reflexions and ending with a filtering solution based on comprehension,note-taking and expression.
