The Application Of Chinese Traditional Grain Rain Cultural Elements In Illustration

"Twenty-four solar terms" is the glorious culture forged by the working people of our country.It is the main framework for understanding the change of seasons in nature,and also the time guide for our agricultural life.The 24 solar terms have accumulated a wealth of astronomy,climate,agriculture,diet,health and other related knowledge,containing seasonal,proverbs,folk customs and other solar terms cultural elements,has been successfully added to the list of intangible cultural heritage of mankind.By exploring the traditional 24 solar terms culture,this paper analyzes the Grain Rain solar terms culture in the 24 solar terms culture,systematically carding it,and uses the artistic expression form of illustration to create illustrations that not only retain the connotation of traditional culture,but also can be accepted by the young public.The modern illustration style and aesthetic orientation will be used to express the traditional Grain Rain solar term culture,so that more designers pay attention to and study the elements of Chinese traditional culture extraction,understand its cultural content and cultural connotation,redesign,and use it in the design.The Grain Rain solar term culture can be shown in the public’s vision with a more novel look,so that the cultural connotation of the Grain Rain solar term can be affirmed and valued,and the precious national cultural heritage can be continued and inherited.This paper set up a questionnaire survey to understand the public’s cognition of solar term culture and Grain Rain solar term through the preliminary research method.And on the basis of the questionnaire,using the method of literature research to analyze the Grain Rain solar term cultural elements and illustration design reference content.Starting from the Grain Rain solar term culture,this paper explores the source,historical evolution,season phenology,meteorology,agriculture and folk culture of Grain Rain solar term culture,and uses the cultural,interesting and story features of illustration expression forms,combined with modern design concepts,to create illustrations.From different angles,this paper refined visual elements of Grain Rain solar term culture,combined with the blending style of flattening and texture in modern illustration design,and presented the cultural elements of Grain Rain solar term in a young way and in line with modern style illustration form.After the multicultural elements of Grain Rain solar terms are created in the form of illustrations,a series of derivative product designs are carried out.Promote the Grain Rain solar term culture,better to inherit our traditional culture,so that the Grain Rain solar term culture into the life of modern people,so that the traditional cultural elements in the illustration design more diversified development.
