| Due to COVID-19,schooling establishments and colleges transitioned to online learning.This learn about investigated students’ perceptions of their adoption,use,and acceptance of on line English learning.The elements analyzed had been learners’ motivation,learners’ anxiety learners’ beliefs and learners’ self-regulation.Quantitative and qualitative records had been accrued from 300 students.The findings existing the newbies traits play a substantial position in the cognitive engagement and tutorial overall performance of college students in the course of on line English learning.Also,this find out about affords guidelines on how to enhance the acceptance of on line learning.Beliefs,anxiety and motivation of learners are three common characteristics of learners.They have always been regarded as the reasons for language learning.At the same time,self-regulation is crucial to support the continuous efforts of online learners and predicting their learning results.Although the number of online English learners is increasing rapidly,few studies clarify the hypothetical relationships between learner’ characteristics(learner’ belief,anxiety and motivation)and self-regulation in the online English learning environment.The purpose of this study aims to fill in the gaps and check their relationship.To fulfill the research purpose,this paper adopted the previous questionnaires with sufficient reliability as instruments to evaluate students’ online English learner beliefs,learning anxiety,learning motivation and online self-regulated English learning.The valid answers collected from 300 Chinese students who participated in an online English courses provide data source.The results indicated that learner beliefs positively predicted,while learning anxiety negatively predicted,online self-regulated English learning.The motivation of online English learning is an intermediary of these relationships.The results show that stronger sense of self-efficacy and perceived value of English learning promote learning motivation and self-regulation.On the contrary,higher learning anxiety,such as test anxiety and fear of negative evaluation,damages learners’ motivation and their online self-regulated English learning. |
