| With the development of the Internet and the progress of the times,online learning has become an important way of learning nowadays.Compared to traditional English classroom teaching,English online learning can not only present relatively rich learning resources,but also help students improve their self-learning ability and achieve individualized learning.As a consequence,an increasing number of schools are conducting online learning courses aimed at their students,that is,online classes on weekends and winter or summer holidays.In this thesis,while analyzing the effect of English online learning in high school,the author focuses on the problems existing in the application of online learning in high school English teaching,and proposes some operable solutions to these problems,aiming to improve the quality of online learning in senior high.The thesis is written to help the instructors and the online learning platform to improve,thus helping students to improve their English learning ability and learning effect.This thesis summarizes the research literature at home and abroad and analyzes the current situation of online English learning courses at Daqing Shiyan High School,mainly exploring the problems existing through questionnaire,interview and classroom observation.The main problems are as follows.1)The learners’ attendance rate is low,they don’t participate in classroom activities actively and the individualized learning is not fully realized.2)The platform’s management of misbehavior of learners is not strong enough,and some functions of the platform need to be developed and increased because some of teaching needs are not met.Online English learning resources of the platform are not sufficient,the form monotonous and the quality low.3)The teachers lack knowledge about IT and theoretical study concerning online English learning,and the teaching content in online learning is not well connected with that in traditional English classroom teaching.In addition,the interactive forms of online English learning activities in online learning courses are not diverse,and the feedback received by students is not timely and inefficient.The author puts forward some solutions from the following three aspects.1)The learners should consciously follow the rules on online learning platform,avoid violation of speech,malicious screen flooding,chatting in no connection with the content and so on,doing their utmost to improve the online learning effect.2)The online learning platform should develop or add more functions to meet teaching needs and take some measures to regulate students’ misconduct in the online learning process.And the quality of online English learning resources should be improved and be more various in forms.3)The teachers and the technical staff of the online learning platform should both strengthen the theoretical study regarding online learning.In addition,the teachers need to change the teaching concept,improve their teaching ability,and arrange more diversified and interactive teaching activities.What’s more,it would be an excellent idea to combine online English learning in senior high and traditional English classroom teaching. |
