Writing Sutras’ Calligraphy Research Of Tang Danasty

The Tang Dynasty was a prosperous time for people to write sutras,and the number of sutras was the highest in all dynasties.This paper takes the calligraphy of writing sutras in the Tang Dynasty as the main research object,deeply analyzes the evolution of the style of writing sutras in the Tang Dynasty and its reasons,so as to explore the influence of the evolution of its style of writing.Firstly,exploring the reasons for the prosperity of writing sutras in the Tang Dynasty from the perspectives of the court and the people.Because the imperial court paid enough attention to the writing of sutras,Buddhism and Taoism prospered,the people had requirements for writing sutras,and the folk employed writing of sutras prospered,the Tang Dynasty became a flourishing time for all people to write sutras.Secondly,through the analysis of the scriptures written by Jingsheng,it is found that the calligraphy of official Jingsheng changes with the changes of The Times.It has experienced the calligraphy style of Wang Xizhi,Chu Suiliang,Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan.In addition,compared with the official sutras,the folk sutras has a great arbitrariness.The style of writing sutras by the monks of the Tang Dynasty was dominated by the style of Wang Xizhi,which lasted for more than three hundred years and was accompanied by the style of Yan Liu in the late Tang Dynasty.This comes from the special way that the monks inherit calligraphy,that is,passing it down in the temple and observing the visible ink.In addition,the reason why monks like to write sutras in cursive script is explored by analyzing the cursive sutras written by monks.Finally,summarizing the evaluation of the Tang Dynasty scripture writing calligraphy,analyzes the different views of each dynasty on the Tang Dynasty scripture writing calligraphy,and judges the value of the Tang Dynasty scripture writing calligraphy more accurately.
