With the wide spread of information technology,the usage of network information to promote the modernization of education has become a major trend in the development of education and teaching.The general application of the blended learning(BL)puts forward higher requirements for the continuous innovation of teaching methods and teaching forms.As a new teaching model of “Online + offline”,the blended learning combines the advantages of traditional teaching and online teaching.It can not only give full play to the dominant position of teachers in the teaching process,but also fully reflect the initiative,enthusiasm and creativity of students as the main body in the learning process.This paper attempts to apply the blended learning to high school English teaching,mainly to explore its impact on students’ English learning.The conclusion has reference value for promoting the integration of high school English curriculum and information technology,and promoting the current development of high school English teaching quality.This paper aims to explore the application of blended learning model in high school English teaching,and to explore its specific impact on students’ interest in English learning and the effect of English learning.The research specifically studies the following three questions:(1)What are the problems existing in senior high school English Teaching?(2)What is the influence of blended learning model on students’ English performance?(3)What is the influence of blended learning model on students’ attitude and interest in English learning? In this study,two classes in Senior One in a senior high school in Xi county,Xinyang City,Henan Province were selected as the research subjects.The author conducted a semester of blended teaching experiment.The experimental class adopted the blended learning model,while the control class applied the traditional teaching model.In order to ensure the scientificity and accuracy of the experimental results,this study used a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods.SPSS25.0 was used to analyze the relevant data,and qualitative methods were adopted to analyze teacher and student interviews.The following conclusion is drawn from the analysis of the relevant results:(1)At present,there are many problems in senior high school English classroom online teaching: some teachers have relatively backward teaching methods and teaching ideas.Most teachers are difficult to take every student into consideration,and they are easy to neglect the timely evaluation of students.(2)Blended learning can effectively improve students’ English performance.After the experiment,the final examination scores of the experimental class were significantly higher than those of the control class.(3)The application of Blended Learning in senior high school English class has a positive effect on students’ interest and attitude in English learning.In the blended learning classroom,students’ participation in the classroom has been improved.Finally,the researcher summarizes the results of the experiment and the survey,and puts forward relevant teaching suggestions.
