A Report On The Translation Of Optoelectronics Technology Literature From The Perspective Of Communicative Translation

Since the 21 st century,the world’s optoelectronic industry has developed rapidly,and China’s optoelectronic product market has maintained rapid growth for more than a decade.Translating the photoelectric product development plan from Chinese to English is a necessary channel for domestic and foreign companies to conduct trade cooperation,which is conducive to the promotion of domestic optoelectronic products in the world,help Chinese companies to go global to open up foreign markets,foster mutual learning and common development,and develop China to a manufacturing power.The article consists of four parts.First,the description of the translation task,which explains the background and content of the task,and introduces the value and significance of this translation practice.Second,the description of the translation process,including pre-translation preparation,translation process,and post-translation review and proofreading.Third,the translation case analysis,guided by communicative translation,which takes some specific cases and analyzes the translation from the four aspects of vocabulary,terminology,logic,and expression,and summarizes relevant translation techniques.Fourth,the summary of the translation practice,which summarizes the main gains and shortcomings of this translation practice,points out the improvement measures,and hopes that it has a good practical guidance significance for the translation of optoelectronic technology literature.The optoelectronic technology literature is an informative text,so the translator chose Newmark’s communicative translation as the guide,with a view to enlightening the comprehensive research ideas of communicative translation and the English translation of optoelectronic literature.
