Research On The Inheritance And Innovation Of Contemporary Ceramic Sculpture In Jingdezhen

In the long river of development of China’s ceramic culture,Jingdezhen ceramic sculpture occupies a pivotal position with its unique artistic appearance.Since ancient times,Jingdezhen has a broad and profound ceramic culture,unique material resources and skilled porcelain makers and other multiple advantages,the ceramic sculpture art of the place presents a distinct regional and national nature,in the inheritance of tradition and integration and innovation of the new machine.After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the creation of ceramic sculpture art in Jingdezhen began to enter a comprehensive revival stage,and the porcelain carving style of the state-owned porcelain factory led the direction of artistic creation at that time.In 1958,the Jingdezhen Ceramics Institute was founded,and the artists gathered here,and the creation was no longer stuck to the traditional form,laying a solid foundation for the arrival of the transformation period of Jingdezhen ceramic sculpture.Between 1966 and 1976,a number of realistic works documenting the spirit of the times were born.In1978,China implemented reform and opening up,and Western modern art and concepts poured into China in one fell swoop,bringing a steady stream of fresh impetus to the development of Jingdezhen art.Academic ceramic sculptures led by Jingdezhen Ceramic University have become the vane of the new era,opening the century of collision between traditional Chinese art and Western modern ceramics。It is worth mentioning that since the new century,the Jingbu group has introduced novel artistic concepts and creative techniques into Jingdezhen,forming a new sculpture style.Looking at the development of contemporary ceramic sculpture in Jingdezhen,it is a cultural product that constantly inherits and innovates in line with the development of the times.This paper uses a variety of research methods such as literature research method,case analysis method,field investigation method,etc.,starting from the tracing of the historical origin of Jingdezhen ceramic sculpture,focusing on the creation status of Jingdezhen ceramic sculpture art since the reform and opening up。Through the perspective of inheritance and innovation,we compare the styles between creative groups,the characteristics of different material languages,and the diversity of research craftsmanship techniques,so as to express the existing sculptural art of Jingdezhen and explore the development direction of contemporary ceramic sculpture in Jingdezhen.
