A Study On The Travel Notes That Recorded By The Scholars With The Army Of Liu Yu During The Northern Expedition

To study the series of the travel notes recorded by the scholars with army of Liu Yu during the two northern expedition at the late Eastern Jin mainly,th e northern march route and the northern geography involved along the way thr ough the textual criticism of the lost works of the travel notes were supplied,and the historic sites,antique,historical legacies and lost information recorded in the travel notes were textual criticism and discriminated.Liu Yu had norther n expedition for Murong Chao at the fifth year of Yixi,Easter Jin and wester n expedition for Yao Hong at twelfth year of Yixi,Easter Jin.There were so me scholars with army of Liu Yu has wrote a series of notes based on their e xperiences along the way during the two northern expeditions.Although those notes were lost,a considerable number of the lost articles have been preservedin the citation of other literature.To sort out those notes,collection shall be t he first step,and the source was analyzed.After the source of the lost article was classified,and the lost article were divided into two categories through tothe content according to northern expedition route of Liu Yu: for one is the r ecords of northern expedition route and surrounding areas of Liu Yu,which w ere re-combed according to the march route of Liu Yu;for the other one is th e records of some areas that did not belong to the northern expedition and we re not passed by the army.The second step was textual criticism.After the co llection of the lost articles was completed,the landscape of the territory,traveldistance,rivers,mountains and other places on the military routine recorded i n the lost articles shall be fixed for route restoration,and reconstruct the road mapbased on the lost articles and classical documents.While for the ancient w hichwere not recorded around the march,their geographical location shall be al so indicate marked and textual criticized.Based on the collection and textual c riticism,then combined with the cultural nostalgic activities of Liu Yu,such asvisiting the ancient and sacrificial the temples,to analyze the lost works and legends,antipodean antiquities and historical allusions recorded in the lost articl es,and restores the cultural picture of the Central Plains outlined by those Sou thern scholars,and discuss the efforts of the southern scholars for "reconstructi ng China" after "four barbarian tribe proprietaries China",as well as the behav ior of the cultural "Song establishment" in the northern expedition by Liu Yu.
