| Translation plays a vital role in cultural exchange.Among the translations of various texts,literary translation is one of the best and most difficult ways to spread culture.In recent years,a large number of foreign literary works have been translated into China,having profound effects on modern Chinese culture,but few Chinese literary works translated into English have received much attention.Therefore,we should pay attention to strengthening the translation of literary works into English so that we can help Chinese culture go global.Due to the differences between Chinese and Western cultures,Chinese prose translation is faced with many difficulties.Reception Aesthetics can be used as the guiding theory,which emphasizes the role of the reader and considers the acceptance of the reader of the translated text as the primary requirement.Therefore,during the process of translation,translators need to fully consider the expectation horizons and aesthetic needs of the readers to ensure good reader acceptance of the translated text.Besides,translators should also conform to the aesthetic habits of the readers.The translation material of the report is The Notes of Yunxiang.The report aims to analyze the cultural phenomena and expressions in the prose of the book,trying to find appropriate translation methods to spread Chinese culture and make the translated text acceptable to the readers through the theoretical guidance of Reception Aesthetics.The first part of the paper introduces the translation materials,the significance of the study and the structure of the thesis;the second part is an overview of translation theory,including the three core concepts of Reception Aesthetics and the application of Reception Aesthetics in translation;the third part introduces the translation process;the fourth part analyzes translation examples from three aspects:the choice of vocabulary,the translation of sentences and the translation of cultural differences;the fifth part is the conclusion,summarizing the main findings of this translation research and the possible shortcomings of the process. |
