Research On The Impact Of Digital Economy Development On Environmental Pollution In My Country

With the rapid development of information and communication technology,Digital Economy has increasingly become a critical strength in promoting the economic development of all countries in the world.It has become a so difficult issue that the academic community must overcome on how to define the digital economy and how to comprehensively measure the development level and scale of the digital economy.After we measure the development level of digital economy in 30 provinces and cities except Tibet,Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan,it is found that the development of digital economy varies greatly in different regions of our country,among them,provinces in the eastern region have the highest level of digital economy development and the fastest growth rate.After measuring the development level of our country’s digital economy,this paper uses the data of our country’s pollutant emissions and adopts the strategy of empirical analysis to study the impact of the development of the digital economy on our country’s pollutant emissions.The research results show that the development of the digital economy can effectively restrain the emission of sulfur dioxide per capita in China,and ultimately it can achieve the improvement of environmental quality.Based on the benchmark regression,further mechanism analysis and regional difference analysis were carried out,and the robustness of the research results was tested by using other regression strategies.Lastly,it was found that there is a significant negative correlation between the development of the digital economy and per capita sulfur dioxide emissions,that is,the development of the digital economy can effectively suppress per capita sulfur dioxide emissions.The Environment is the key to the sustainable development of human society.In the context of the information age,we should seize the opportunities brought by the digital economy in a timely manner,vigorously promote the development of digital economy in our country,meanwhile we should also deepen the digital industry,and must use digital technology to promote the upgrading and innovation of enterprise production technology.A virtuous cycle will be formed between economic development and environmental optimization.However,at the same time,we cannot ignore the development differences of the digital economy in different regions,and we must strive to narrow the development differences between regions.
