With the development of era,educational globalization has been accelerating,thus ushering China's elementary educational reform into deep water zone where tough challenges must be met.Among the reform efforts,the most obvious one is the curriculum reform.However,it is usually the forefront middle school teachers that play a decisive role in the middle school curriculum reform.Full play of middle school teachers' curriculum leadership can not only influence students' all-around development and schools' sustainable development,but also decide whether the new round of elementary educational curriculum reform can be deeply promoted.In this paper,a questionnaire is carried out on 334 on-the-job teachers from six middle schools based in X District,H City.Additionally,an in-depth interview is conducted on some leaders of the educational administrative departments,headmasters,and teachers.Results reveal the following problems,including teachers' lack of curriculum reflections,weak curriculum design abilities,inefficient execution of curriculum,and inadequate curriculum assessment skills.After analyzing causes of the aforesaid problems,this paper proposes countermeasures to improve middle school teachers' curriculum leadership.First,educational administrative departments should increase the spending on teachers' development and strengthen the supervision and management of the curriculum leadership.Second,schools should organize training targeted at improving teachers' curriculum leadership,better the teachers' assessment mechanism,and construct teachers' curriculum leadership community.Third,middle school teachers should sharpen their awareness of curriculum leadership and improve their curriculum leadership qualities.
