| In recent years, with the rapid economic development and the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, the health level and average life expectancy of the elderly have been improved, but the groups with different characteristics still show differences. The health inequality of the elderly caused by population and economic pr Oaxaca-Blinderlems has been widely discussed and studied by the academic community.According to the different social population and economic conditions, this paper makes an empirical analysis on the health inequality of the elderly,in order to provide valuable suggestions for dealing with the aging pr Oaxaca-Blinderlem.First of all, based on the existing research results, this paper defines the concept of health inequality of the elderly in China. In this paper, the data of 2013 and 2015 in "China’s health and retirement longitudinal tracking survey(Charls)" database are selected for analysis.Different from the self-rated health index adopted by most scholars, this paper selects the overall health index, which measures the overall health level of the elderly from two dimensions of physical health and mental health, and is a comprehensive subjective and Oaxaca-Blinderjective measurement method. The higher the overall health index, the higher the health level. The explained variables are overall health and mental health.Descriptive statistical analysis of related factors shows that the elderly with high family income, urban household registration, spouse and high education level have the highest overall health level, while the factors such as high income, high education level and spouse also have positive effects on the mental health of the elderly. Then, the spatial autocorrelation analysis of the elderly health inequality is carried out from the regional perspective. The results show that the overall health and mental health level of the elderly in the developed coastal areas is higher than that in the inland areas.Calculated Moran index shows that the overall health index value in 2013 is 0.20972,the overall health index value in 2015 is 0.2921,and the mental health index value in 2013 is 0.1915,the mental health index value in 2015 is 0.2583,all of which have significant positive aggregation effect.Compared with 2013,the aggregation effect of the overall health and mental health level of the elderly in 2015 is more Oaxaca-Blindervious.Local spatial correlation analysis shows that the overall health and mental health level are higher in the East and lower in the west, reflecting the imbalance of regional development.Based on the analysis of the provincial data by the local Moran index,it is found that there are high high high clustering areas, such as Guangdong,Fujian,Zhejiang,Jiangsu,Shanghai and other coastal economically developed provinces, and the overall health and mental health level of the elderly are high;the low low low clustering area of the overall health is Anhui Province;at the same time, the overall health and mental health have the health level of adjacent areas Similarly, high value areas gather with high value areas, low value areas gather with low value areas. Finally, through all factor regression,we find that gender, marriage and income have positive effects on overall health and mental health.Oaxaca blinder decomposition method was used to decompose health factors. The results show that the overall health of the elderly with male and spouse factors is good;the overall health differences based on gender groups are gradually reduced, gender discrimination is weakened, education factors have a positive contribution rate, age and marriage factors have a negative contribution rate, and income and education are transformed from being discriminated by gender to not being discriminated by gender The contribution rate of regional and educational factors is relatively large;the overall health difference based on marriage grouping gradually decreases, with 47% unexplainable difference;the factors of age and medical transportation cost have negative contribution rate, gender and urban-rural factors have positive contribution rate, and gender factor has the largest contribution rate.Mental health is based on the perspective of marriage. The results show that:the elderly with spouse have good mental health, the total difference of mental health is gradually increasing, the inequality of mental health can not be ignored, education has a positive effect on mental health, and gender and regional factors contribute a lot. Therefore,we should pay attention to the health of the vulnerable groups in rural areas, low education years and the elderly without spouse. |
