Objective:A randomized controlled trial was conducted to investigate the effect of acupuncture on the pain level, headache symptom score,TCM syndrome score,self-rating anxiety scale,self-rating depression scale, serum 5-HT and painkillers used times of acupuncture on chronic tension headache patients with liver-Qi stagnation. Methods:This subject collected 72 CTTH patients. They were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 36 cases each. The treatment group was treated with acupuncture.During the remission period,Tai Chong,He Gu,Hou Xi,A Shi point were taken,3 times a week, once every other day,for 4 weeks.Control group: oral flupentixol-melitracen,one tablet, once a day,for 4 weeks.Patients in both groups were given painkillers when their headache was unbearable.By comparing the headache score,Visual analogue scale(VAS)score,TCM syndrome score,Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)score,Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)score, serum 5-HT content and painkillers used times of the two groups before treatment, after treatment and in the last week of 1month follow-up,recording the differences in the headache score,Visual analogue scale(VAS)score and painkillers used times by telephone of the two groups to evaluate the clinical curative effect of two kinds of treatments.Results:1.Before treatment, the two groups of patients were in age, gender, sick time, headache score,Visual analogue scale(VAS)score,TCM syndrome score,Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)score,Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)score,5-HT content and painkillers used times were not different(P>0.05),and comparable.2.Visual analogue scale(VAS): The VAS scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than before treatment(P<0.01),and the reduction in the treatment group was more significant than the control group, which was statistically significant(P<0.01).In the treatment group, before treatment was different from the follow-up in VAS score(P<0.01),which has statistical significance. In the control group, there was no significant difference between before treatment and follow-up(P>0.05).3.Headache score: The headache scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than before treatment(P<0.01),and the reduction in the treatment group was more significant than the control group, which was statistically significant(P<0.01).In the treatment group, before treatment was different from the follow-up in headache score(P<0.01),which has statistical significance. In the control group, there was no significant difference between before treatment and follow-up(P>0.05).4.TCM syndrome score: The TCM syndrome scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than before treatment(P<0.01),and the reduction in the treatment group was more significant than the control group, which was statistically significant(P<0.01).5.Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS): After treatment, the SAS and the SDS scores were lower than before treatment(P<0.01),and the reduction in the treatment group was more significant than the control group, which was statistically significant(P<0.01).6.Serum 5-HT content: There is a difference in serum 5-HT content between the two groups of patients before and after treatment(P<0.01),which was statistically significant. The serum5-HT content of the treatment group after treatment was higher than the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.7.Painkiller use: Both groups had lower use of painkillers after treatment compared to before treatment(P<0.01),and the treatment group was better than the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).There was a statistically significant difference in the number of pain relievers used before treatment and follow-up(P<0.01),while there was no difference in the number of pain relievers used before treatment and follow-up in the control group(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.Acupuncture stage intervention and Western-pressed fluoropiphthiogen can improve the symptoms of chronic TTH patients, reduce the degree of headache, reduce the number of headaches, and improve anxiety depression.2.The effect of acupuncture intervention TTH is superior to the control group Western medicine therapy and has a long-term effect.3.Acupuncture intervention can improve the serum 5-HT content in the body of CTTH patients varying degrees, which may be the potential mechanism of its therapeutic effectiveness.
