Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Pei Tu Sheng Jin method of acupuncture with Shu Li Di and inhalation of Shu Li Di on cough variant asthma with deficiency of lung qi,and to provide reference for clinical treatment of cough variant asthma.Methods:In this study,64 patients with cough variant asthma with deficiency of lung qi who attended the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and the Department of Respiratory Medicine of the Second People’s Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine who met the study criteria were randomly divided into treatment and control groups using computer software to generate random numbers,with 32 cases in each group.Control group: treated with inhaled sulforaphane(salmeterol ticapone powder inhaler),2inhalations/day,once in the morning and once in the evening.The treatment group: the control group was treated with acupuncture in the middle epigastric region,Qihai,and bilateral feet three li for 30 min each time,once a day.10 days was a course of treatment,with a 3-day break between courses,for 3 courses of treatment.Both groups were treated for 36 days.General data collection,routine physical examination,TCM symptom score,Chinese version of the Leicester Cough Questionnaire and assessment of lung function were performed in both groups before the first treatment and on the day after the end of the last treatment,respectively.The Leicester cough questionnaire was completed on a return visit 1month after the end of the last treatment.Statistical software was used to process the data,and the clinical efficacy was finally evaluated comprehensively.Results:1.Chinese version of Leicester Cough Questionnaire: the score of Leicester Cough Questionnaire in the two groups after treatment was higher than that before treatment.The comparison within the group was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The treatment group was better than the control group.2.Analysis of lung function indexes: lung function improved in both groups after treatment compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.3.TCM symptom scores: the total TCM symptom scores of both groups decreased after treatment compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the difference in the total TCM symptom scores between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).The single TCM symptom scores of both groups improved after treatment compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);in improving cough,spontaneous sweating,shivering,less food and shortness of breath,the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.There was no difference in the efficacy between the two groups in terms of improvement of cough and sputum and fatigue(P>0.05).4.Clinical efficacy assessment of Chinese medicine: the total clinical efficiency of the treatment group was 90.32%,and the total clinical efficiency of the control group was 78.13%.The difference between the total effective rate of the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.5.Follow-up: Patients were followed up 1 month after the end of the last treatment to fill in the Chinese version of the Leicester cough questionnaire,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.Conclusions:1.Both Pei Tu Sheng Jin Method acupuncture with Shu Li Di Di and Shu Li Di alone could improve the TCM symptom score,Chinese version of Leicester Cough Questionnaire score and lung function in patients with CVA with deficiency of lung qi,and the clinical efficacy of Pei Tu Sheng Jin Method acupuncture with Shu Li Di was better than that of Shu Li Di alone.2.At the 1-month follow-up after the end of the final treatment,it was found that the Pei Tu Sheng Jin method of acupuncture improved the quality of life of CVA patients better than the use of sulforaphane alone.
