"Basics of Natural Pharmacology" is a professional basic course for the pharmacy major of the secondary vocational health school.It is related to the content of the Chinese herbal medicine planting major of the secondary vocational school of agriculture and forestry.It belongs to the interdisciplinary subject of the two majors.In many cases,students lack the learning method of the course,cannot integrate scattered concepts,lack memory,and are easy to forget after memory,and the learning effect is low.The mind map is a way to convert a large amount of information into a concise and easy-toremember picture through words,symbols,pictures,and rich colors,which helps students to learn efficiently and cultivate logical thinking;The introduction of graphs into teaching as a divergent teaching tool helps students to improve their ability to apply knowledge and divergent thinking.At present,mind maps are rarely used in the teaching of secondary vocational schools.Teachers think that secondary vocational students have poor learning ability and it is difficult to draw mind maps by hand,so they are rarely taught to students.In this study,mind maps were introduced into the teaching of "Fundamentals of Natural Pharmacology",aiming to teach students to draw mind maps and to explore the improvement of students’ learning ability and thinking ability after using mind maps.This study adopts literature method,interview method,questionnaire survey method,case analysis method and other research methods,based on brain science,knowledge visualization,constructivism and other theories,taking 40 students of 2019 pharmacy major in a secondary vocational school in Lanzhou as the research object.The applied research is carried out in three stages: firstly,in the preparation stage,the relevant literature and materials are consulted and sorted out to clarify the significance and current situation of the research,and then the questionnaire survey and interview are conducted to analyze the application status of mind maps in the course "Basics of Natural Pharmacology" Second,the application stage is divided into two parts: teacher’s "teaching" and students’ "learning".Teachers choose appropriate cases to apply mind maps to teaching practice,and teach students to draw mind maps;students draw mind maps in groups and independently during learning,and develop mind maps during practice The effect evaluation system guides students to evaluate and reflect on the effect of mind mapping;finally,in the inspection stage,based on the effect evaluation questionnaire,student interest survey,and student interviews,secondary vocational students’ learning interest,learning style and thinking ability are three aspects Evaluate the application effect of mind map.The research found that: 1.Mind map teaching can improve students’ interest in learning;2.Mind map teaching can improve students’ learning style;3.Mind map teaching can help students improve their thinking ability;4.The mind map is suitable for the teaching of secondary vocational teachers.The use of mind maps makes the teaching process easier and more interesting,enriches the strategies of teaching and learning,and helps to improve the efficiency of teaching and learning.
