Objective Application of electroacupuncture combined with modified Yiyiren Tang in the treatment of chondromalacia patella with phlegm-damp blocking resistance(CMP),and the clinical efficacy of the two combined therapies was observed to explore the feasibility of electroacupuncture combined with modified Yiyiren Tang in the treatment of chondromalacia patellae. It provides a new idea for traditional Chinese medicine treatment of chondromalacia patellae.MethodsA total of 90 patients with chondromalacia patella who were diagnosed and treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2020 to November 2021 and who met the diagnostic criteria of this study were selected for this study. In this study,a randomized controlled trial was adopted, and 90 samples were randomly divided into a combination group,an electroacupuncture group, and a traditional Chinese medicine group, with 30 cases in each group. The patients in the combination group were treated with electroacupuncture combined with the madified Yiyiren Tang;the patients in the electroacupuncture group were treated with simple electroacupuncture;the patients in the traditional Chinese medicine group were treated with the madified Yiyiren Tang. Each subject participated in the entire clinical treatment for 4 weeks. The curative effect of the subjects was evaluated according to the clinical curative effect,TCM syndrome score,PSS scale score, knee joint function LKSS score and recurrence rate after 2 months.Results1.A total of 90 patients in the three groups, with no dropout or exclusion, were included in the statistical analysis. There were no significant differences in gender, age, disease course, disease site,TCM syndrome score,PSS scale score and knee joint function LKSS score between the three groups before treatment(P>0.05).2.Clinical efficacy: the total effective rate of the combined group was 91.58%,the total effective rate of the electroacupuncture group was 84.37%,and the total effective rate of the traditional Chinese medicine group was76.43%.The total effective rate of the combination group was better than that of the electroacupuncture group and the traditional Chinese medicine group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.TCM syndrome scores: The TCM syndrome scores of the patients in the combination group, the electroacupuncture group and the TCM group were all decreased after treatment compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).Compared with the electroacupuncture group and the traditional Chinese medicine group, the score of the combined group decreas ed more significantly, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.PSS scale score: The PSS scale scores of the combined group, the electroacupuncture group and the Chinese medicine group were all decreased after the treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores in the combined group were significantly lower than those in the electroacupuncture group and the traditional Chinese medicine group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Knee joint function LKSS score: the LKSS score of the combined group, the electroacupuncture group and the traditional Chinese medicine group were improved after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The score improvement of the combined group was better than that of the electroacupuncture group and the traditional Chinese medicine group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).6.Recurrence rate: Follow-up was conducted in the second month after treatment.According to statistical analysis, the recurrence rate of the combination group was 5.8%,the recurrence rate of the electroacupuncture group was 12.9%,and the recurrence rate of the traditional Chinese medicine group was 18.8%.The recurrence rate of the combination group was lower.Statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusions1.The clinical effect of electroacupuncture combined with modified Yiyiren Tang in the treatment of chondromalacia patella is obvious, which can effectively improve the function of the patellofemoral joint and relieve joint pain.2.Electroacupuncture combined with oral Coixen decoction has a lower recurrence rate in the treatment of patients with chondromalacia patellae.
