Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Children Upper Airway Cough Syndrome Based On The Theory Of "Simultaneous Treatment Of Lung And Nose"

Objective:The efficacy of TCM symptoms and the changes of LCQ scores are observed for treating children upper airway cough syndrome(wind-phlegm attack orifices syndrome),which are based on the theory of "Simultaneous treatment of lung and nose" using self-made ZhiKe TongBi Decoction with Intranasal Corticosteroids.And the clinical thinking of TCM in the treatment of children upper airway cough were expanded.Methods:Sixty children upper airway cough syndrome(wind-phlegm attack orifices syndrome)were randomly divided into 2 groups:the treatment group has 30 cases and the control group has 30 cases.The treatment group and the control group received self-made ZhiKe TongBi Decoction and montelukast sodium chewable tablets(Shunerning),respectively.And both groups were simultaneously supplemented with nasal glucocorticoids.The course of treatment was 4 weeks in both groups.The TCM syndrome scores and LCQ scores before and after treatment were recorded.Through the before-after and between groups analysis of the study data,the efficacy of TCM symptoms and the improvement of LCQ scores of the two groups of children were compared.The study data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 26.0.Results:1.Comparison of efficacy of TCM symptoms:After 4 weeks of treatment,the effective rate of the treatment group(90.00%)was better than that of the control group(73.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Comparison of TCM Syndrome scores:Comparison of before and after treatment,in the two groups,the total scores TCM symptoms,the scores of main symptom and the scores of secondary symptom decreased after 2 weeks of treatment and 4 weeks after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison between groups,there was a statistical difference in decrease of the total scores of TCM symptoms,the scores of cough,sputum of cough,throat clearing and secondary symptom between the two groups(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.The difference in the decrease of nasal obstruction scores between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).3.Comparison of LCQ scoresBefore and after treatment,the total LCQ scores and regional scores of the two groups increased after 2 weeks of treatment and 4 weeks,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison between groups,there was a statistical difference in increase of the total LCQ score,physiological score and psychological score of the two groups(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.The difference in the increase of social score of the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.Based on the theory of "Simultaneous treatment of lung and nose",the overall efficacy of self-made ZhiKe TongBi Decoction combined with Intranasal Corticosteroids in the treatment of children upper airway cough syndrome(wind-phlegm attack orifices syndrome)is better than that of montelukast sodium chewable tablets combined with Intranasal Corticosteroids.2.Based on the theory of "Simultaneous treatment of lung and nose",the efficacy of the self-made ZhiKe TongBi Decoction combined with Intranasal Corticosteroids in the treatment of children upper airway cough syndrome(wind-phlegm attack orifices syndrome)is confirmed,and the efficacy is better than that of the control group in improving the symptoms of TCM in children(cough,sputum of cough,throat clearing,Itchy nose,rhinorrhea,pharyngeal itching,turbinate condition,secretions of posterior pharyngeal wall,lymphatic follicles of posterior pharyngeal wall).3.Based on the theory of "Simultaneous treatment of lung and nose",self-made ZhiKe TongBi Decoction combined with Intranasal Corticosteroids can effectively improve the LCQ score(LCQ total score,physiological score,and psychological score)of children upper airway cough syndrome(windphlegm attack orifices syndrome),which is better than that of the control group.
