Objective:This research aims to investigate the current situation of nurses’ health promoting lifestyle and occupational identity in two tertiary hospitals in Wuhan,explore the relationship between nurses’ health promoting lifestyle and occupational identity,and provide countermeasures for improving nurses’ health promoting lifestyle and occupational identity.Methods:This study is a cross-sectional survey study.Through the convenience sampling method,from June to September 2021,a questionnaire survey was distributed to 446 nurses in two tertiary hospitals in Wuhan.The questionnaire included: General Information Survey Scale,Health Promotion Lifestyle Scale Chinese Revised Version(HPLP-IIR),and Nurse Professional Identity Scale.It used excel and SPSS24.0 for data sorting and statistical analysis,and used descriptive statistics,independent sample t test,one-way analysis of variance,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis to process the data.Results:(1)The total score of nurses’ health promotion lifestyle was(101.49±15.00)points,and the average scores of each dimension from high to low were: interpersonal relationship 3.0843 points,nutrition 3.0147 points,spiritual growth 2.6940 points,stress management 2.5727 points,health responsibility 2.2990 points,sports 2.0446 points.The total score of nurses’ professional identity was(103.21±17.37)points,and the average scores of each dimension from high to low were: social support 3.4703 points,cognitive evaluation 3.4660 points,setback coping 3.4498 points,self-reflection 3.4491 points,and social skills 3.4402 points.(2)The differences of nurses’ health promotion lifestyle scores in age,working years,marital status,highest education,professional title,personnel relationship,number of night shifts per month,and monthly income were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences among nurses’ occupational identity scores in marital status,highest education,professional title,and the number of monthly night shifts(P<0.05).(3)The correlation coefficient between nurses’ health promoting lifestyle and professional identity was 0.584,showing a significant positive correlation(P<0.01).And the correlation coefficients of each dimension of health promotion lifestyle and occupational identity were between 0.275 and 0.586,which were all significantly positively correlated(P<0.01).(4)After multiple linear regression analysis,it was found that the influencing factors of nurses’ health promoting lifestyle were: setback coping,cognitive evaluation,number of night shifts per month,working years,and marital status,which could explain 33.1% of the variables.After multiple linear regression analysis,it was found that the influencing factors of nurses’ professional identity were: spiritual growth,interpersonal relationships,and professional titles,which could explain 41%of the variables.Conclusions:(1)The health promoting lifestyles of nurses in the two tertiary hospitals are at a moderate level,and there are significant differences in age,working years,marital status,highest education,professional title,personnel relationship,number of night shifts per month,and monthly income.(2)The occupational identity of nurses in the two tertiary and first-class hospitals is at a medium level,and there are significant differences in marital status,highest education,professional title,and the number of night shifts per month.(3)Nurses’ health promoting lifestyle was positively correlated with occupational identity.(4)The main influencing factors of nurses’ health-promoting lifestyle were setback coping,cognitive evaluation,number of night shifts per month,working years,and marital status.The main influencing factors of nurses’ professional identity are spiritual growth,interpersonal relationships,and professional titles.
