Research On Location Layout Of Waste Transfer Station In Haikou City And Its Influence On Health Of Surrounding Residents

Research Significance: With the acceleration of China’s urbanization process,the population of urban residents increases,and the resulting volume of urban household garbage also shows a trend of rapid growth year by year.The collection and transportation of urban garbage has become a hot topic of urban environmental public health in China.With the continuous progress of the ecological civilization construction of Hainan free trade port,Haikou,as the capital city of Hainan province and the first batch of waste classification demonstration cities,has put forward higher requirements in urban environmental sanitation.Haikou household garbage collection and transportation mode is mainly based on the household garbage transfer station mixed collection and transportation mode,a large number of household garbage transportation process is easy to cause environmental pollution problems such as odor,mosquitoes and flies breeding due to delayed transportation,and even serious impact on the health of surrounding residents.Research objectives :(1)field research on the number and distance of waste transfer stations in four districts of haikou city,and find out the shortcomings of site selection and layout.(2)Questionnaire survey on the knowledge,trust and behavior of the waste transfer station’s impact on the health of surrounding residents,and put forward reasonable suggestions,in order to provide reference for the green and harmonious development and ecological civilization construction of Hainan Province.Research contents :(1)field survey of the number and distance of refuse transfer stations in the four districts of haikou city,and statistics of the site selection and layout of refuse transfer stations in the four districts according to CJJ/47-2016 technical specifications for MSW transfer stations;(2)Questionnaires were used to investigate the knowledge,trust and behavior of the impact of the refuse transfer station on the health of surrounding residents,and Spss26.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the survey data.Research methods:(1)Site selection and layout: field survey,Gao De MAP ging tool to measure linear distance;(2)Residents’ knowledge,belief and behavior of health impacts: questionnaire survey,data statistical analysis using general conditions,single-factor and multi-factor analysis methods.Conclusions:(1)The survey on site selection and layout of Haikou urban refuse transfer station shows that the site selection and layout of Haikou urban refuse transfer station is unreasonable.(2)Based on the questionnaire survey,the following results were obtained:(1)Residents’ health knowledge: the overall cognitive level of health knowledge of residents near the urban refuse transfer station in Haikou was high(63.8%),and the elderly had a low score of health knowledge;Residents acquire health knowledge mainly through the Internet and "we media",while the government and community committees have low publicity efforts.(2)Residents’ attitude: the information is not transparent when the government decides to build the refuse transfer station,and residents have no right to know and participate.Residents have strong resistance to the construction of the refuse transfer station in their own backyard.Residents believe that malodorous gas,breeding of mosquitoes,flies,mice and cockroaches,noise and inconvenient transportation are all the influencing factors of refuse transfer station.The closer the distance between residential and garbage transfer station is,the higher the residents’ attitude score is,and the more serious their NIMBY complex is.(3)Residents’ behavior: residents have a high awareness of health knowledge,and the implementation rate of prevention and control is low;The closer the distance between residential and garbage transfer station is,the easier it is for residents to take prevention and control measures,and the more likely it is to report.The channels for residents’ environmental rights protection,such as complaints from garbage transfer stations,are not smooth,the government replies perfunctorily,the actual problems cannot be effectively solved,and the residents’ NIMBY complex is serious.
