Objective: In recent years, the detection rate of breast nodules has increased and there is a trend towards youthfulness, with emotions being the main pathogenic factor.According to previous research findings, life events are the initiating factors that trigger emotional stimulation; The individual’s psychological and physiological characteristics are the key to whether emotional stimulation can cause illness. Therefore,we propose the hypothesis that "life events are the initiating factors that trigger emotional stimulation of breast nodules",and conduct in-depth research on the correlation between emotional stimulation of breast nodules and life events,to clarify which life events are specifically associated with anxiety, depression, and anger emotions. And further explore the relationship between individual psychological and physiological characteristics and emotional stimulation of breast nodules. In order to effectively prevent and treat emotional stimulation of breast nodules, provide theoretical guidance for different individual characteristics of patients, and provide reference for the development of emotional disease theory in Traditional Chinese medicine. Methods: Firstly, through theoretical research and literature review, the correlation between life events, emotions, and breast nodules,as well as the relationship between individual personality traits, body status, and emotions. The current survey method of population epidemiology was used to collect patients with breast nodules who met the inclusion criteria. The female population without abnormality was the control group. The subjects filled out the General Situation Questionnaire,Negative Life Events Scale,Self Rating Anxiety Scale,State Trait Anger Scale,Self Rating Depression Scale,Eysenck Personality Questionnaire,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Eight survey questionnaires on the Fatigue Scale. The correlation between anxiety, depression, anger, and life events in patients with breast nodules was analyzed using binomial logistic regression. The backward Wald method was used to gradually screen for significant risk factors, and significance was used as the basis for analysis. An OR value greater than 1 is a risk factor for triggering depression, anxiety, and anger, while an OR value less than 1 is a protective factor for triggering depression, anxiety, and anger. On this basis,a binomial logistic regression was applied to analyze the correlation between depression, anxiety, anger, personality, and sleep fatigue in patients with breast nodules. The Chi-squared test was used to compare the case group with the control group, with P<0.05 as the statistical difference.KW test was used to analyze the differences in BI-RADS related influencing factors of breast nodules, and rank sum test was conducted between different groups.Results:(1)Through a survey of 147 patients with breast nodules,it was found that their onset age was more common in married women of childbearing age and high education, with a prevalence of 30-50 years old.Among them, there were 20 cases of anxiety,29 cases of depression, and 21 cases of anger in negative emotions, with susceptibility rates of13.9%,19.8%,and 14.2%,respectively.(2)Patients with breast nodules have the highest frequency of negative life events between the ages of 31 and 40,with a mean of 2.10.The top ten frequency of negative life events: "significant increase or decrease in income","emotional breakdown of parents","serious illness of family members","learning difficulties of children",and "serious illness and trauma"."Children’s misconduct" and "moderate borrowing" are ranked fifth.Parent death, miscarriage, and family member disputes tied for sixth place."Property loss" and "serious disputes between husband and wife" tied for seventh place."Frustration in education and employment," "sexual barriers," "reputation damage," and "learning difficulties" tied for ninth place."Friend passed away," "legal disputes," "conflicts with superiors," "startled," "colleague disputes," tied for tenth place.(3)Patients with breast nodules have the highest frequency of negative life events between the ages of 31 and 40,with a mean of passed away," "legal disputes," "conflicts with superiors," "startled," "colleague disputes," tied for tenth place The occurrence of depression in patients with breast nodules is positively correlated with "marital breakdown"(OR=25.514,95%CI=2.039~319.210),"children with learning difficulties"(OR=28.973,95% CI1.791~468.706),and "significant increase or decrease in income"(OR=4173.174,95%CI=177.231~98263.673).The occurrence of anxiety in patients with breast nodules is positively correlated with ’family member serious illness’(OR=57.484,95%CI=6.094~542.275),’ children’s misconduct ’(OR=23.944,95% CI=1.434~399.860),and’children’s learning difficulties’(OR=837.348,95% CI=49.867~14060.348).There is a positive correlation between "marital breakdown"(OR=101.429,95%CI=4.352~2364.079),"family member serious illness"(OR=144.231,95%CI=5.583~3725.920),"children with learning difficulties"(OR=864.503,95%CI=10.943~68299.029),"significant increase or decrease in income"(OR=27.644,95%CI=2.294~333.173),and the occurrence of anxiety and depression in breast nodule patients.Family member serious illness(OR=26.097,95% CI=1.248~29.801),child misconduct(OR=47.731,95% CI=8.629~264.014),child learning difficulties(OR=6.034,95%CI=1.16~32.615),sexual dysfunction(OR=57.684,95% CI=4.477~743.303),and significant increase or decrease in income(OR=4.296,95% CI=1.075~17.166)are positively correlated with the occurrence of anger in breast nodule patients.(4)Among 147 patients with breast nodules, there were 71 cases of extraverted cholestasis,36 cases of extraverted polyhemostasis,29 cases of introverted depression, and 11 cases of introverted mucus, accounting for 48.3%,24.5%,19.7%,and 7.5%,respectively.A study on the correlation between different psychological and physiological characteristics of individuals and depression, anxiety, and anger has found that the main functional state leading to depression is "mental fatigue"(P<0.05).The main functional state of anger was "Sleep disorder"(P<0.05).The main psychological characteristics of anxiety, anger, anxiety and depression were "Neuroticism"(P<0.05).(5)In terms of anxiety, the proportion of anxiety in the case group was higher than that in the control group(13.6%>2.7%);In terms of depression, the proportion of depression in the case group was higher than that in the control group(19.7%>8.0%);In terms of irritability, the proportion of irritable individuals in the case group is higher than that in the control group(14.3%>2.7%);In terms of whether there are sleep problems, the proportion of patients with sleep fatigue in the case group is higher than that in the control group(78.2%>33.3%);In terms of whether there are fatigue problems, the number of people in the case group who have fatigue problems is higher than that in the control group(88.4%>37.3%).In terms of whether negative events occur, the frequency of negative events in the case group is higher than that in the control group(51%>13.3%);There were statistically significant differences in anxiety, depression, irritability, sleep, fatigue, and negative events(P<0.05).(6)In the comparison between category 2 and category 3 of breast nodules, there were significant differences in the four variables of anxiety, depression, anger, and fatigue, with statistical significance(P<0.05);In the comparison between category 2 and 4a of breast nodules, there were significant differences in the three variables of anxiety, depression, and anger, with statistical significance(P<0.05);In the comparison between category 3 and 4a of breast nodules, there were significant differences in the three variables of anxiety, depression, and anger, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)Life events are the initiating factors for emotional stimulation of breast nodules. The negative life events that trigger anxiety, depression, and anger in patients with breast nodules are mainly related to family, marriage, and finances.(2)The personality traits and emotions of patients with breast nodules are closely related. The proportion of breast nodule patients with extraverted biliary personality traits is the highest in this study, and the BI-RADS classification level of extroverted patients is generally higher than that of introverted patients.(3)Individual sleep fatigue is closely related to emotions.Patients with breast nodules caused by emotional stimulation often have poor sleep quality, fatigue, and poor physical condition.(4)Individual sleep fatigue is closely related to emotions.Patients with breast nodules caused by emotional stimulation often have poor sleep quality, fatigue, and poor physical condition The onset of breast nodules is closely related to emotional stimulation.Anxiety, depression, and anger are risk factors affecting the BI-RADS grading of breast nodules. It further demonstrated the theory of "emotion intertwined with common disease causing the first injury to the liver",enriched the theory of liver governing catharsis and regulating emotions in traditional Chinese medicine, provided theoretical guidance for different individual characteristics of patients, and provided reference for the development of emotional disease theory in Traditional Chinese medicine,in order to effectively prevent and treat emotional stimulation of breast nodules.
