be ignored in the early stage of the disease,which may eventually lead to serious complications.Citespace software is a visualization software,which is an important tool for analyzing literature and understanding research hotspots and research trends in this field.By systematically sorting out the relevant literature in the field of traditional Chinese medicine DPN treatment,we can grasp the foundation of this field from the external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine,the research hotspots of traditional Chinese medicine,the overall research hotspots and trends,the research process,etc.,show the development context of this field,grasp the current research situation,and provide information for the And reference data.Methods: Select CNKI database(CNKI)for literature retrieval,select the relevant literature in this field from the establishment of the library to December 31,2021,and finally incorporate it into the Chinese literature 1908 articles through manual retrieval.The data is exported in Refwork format and saved in txt format.After that,the data is standardized,the CNKI data converter of citespace is converted into a software.Results:The full text is included in a total of 1908 documents,and the overall number of publications is still rising year by year,occasionally falling,but overall it is still in the rising stage.There are many journals published in journals,but there are few core journals in the main journals,and the overall level of papers needs to be improved.Among them,four research teams with Liang Xiaochun,Liu Tonghua,Fan
