| Objectives To analyze the symptom characteristics and related factors of 60 patients with functional constipation, and compare the consistency of symptom classification and colorectal and anal function examination classification,in order to better prevent, diagnose and treat patients with functional constipation, and improve the quality of life of patients. Methods A total of 60 patients with functional constipation(including outpatients and inpatients)admitted to department of Gastroenterology,Hebei Provincial People’s Hospital from January 2018 to August 2021 were retrospectively collected. The patients were divided into groups according to different gender, age, body mass index BMI,educational background, defecation habit, water intake, food intake, regular exercise and anxiety and depression, and analyzed the symptom characteristics and influencing factors of patients with functional constipation. It was also discussed whether the classification was consistent according to the symptoms of constipation and the results of colorectal and anal function examination. Results 1 the defecation frequency of functional constipation patients of different genders was different(male 1.53±1.42,female 2.34±1.47,P<0.05);There was no significant difference in constipation symptom score among different ages and BMI(P >0.05).2 There was no significant difference in the constipation symptom score of patients with functional constipation of different education levels(P>0.05).3 There were differences in symptom score(11.80±4.73 in scheduled defecation group and 15.84±4.38 in unscheduled defecation group)and defecation frequency score(0.30±0.67 in scheduled defecation group and 2.30±1.38 in unscheduled defecation group)between scheduled defecation and unscheduled defecation functional constipation patients(P<0.05).There were differences in symptom scores(16.51±4.84 in irregular activity group and13.90±4.15 in regular activity group)and defecation difficulty scores(2.86±1.15 in irregular activity group and 2.12±1.58 in regular activity group)between irregular activity group and regular activity group(P<0.05).4 The scores of defecation assistance method(0.63±1.10 in the group with less water and 0.25±0.44 in the group with more water),the scores of defecation frequency(2.86±1.15 in the group with less water)and the scores of defecation frequency(2.86±1.15 in the group with less water and 0.25±0.44 in the group with more water. There were differences in the scores of difficulty in defecation(2.12±1.58)and difficulty in defecation(2.78±1.21,2.14±1.60,P<0.05).The scores of functional constipation patients in the group with less dietary fiber and the group with more dietary fiber were different(0.57±1.07 in the group with less dietary fiber and 0.28±0.45 in the group with more dietary fiber)(P<0.05).5 There was no significant difference in constipation symptom score between anxiety and depression(P > 0.05).6 There was poor consistency between the classification of constipation symptoms and anorectal pressure(P=0.502,K=-0.123)7 There was poor consistency between the classification of constipation symptoms and defecography(P=0.794,K=-0.04)8 There was poor consistency between the classification of symptoms and colon transit time(P=0.215,K=-0.14)9 There was poor consistency between symptom typing and objective examination typing(P=0.944,K =-0.005).Conclusion 1 The frequency of defecation per week in women with functional constipation is less than that in men.2 Regular defecation and regular activities can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with functional constipation, increase the number of weekly defecation of patients, and reduce the degree of defecation difficulty of patients.3 Increasing water intake can improve the clinical symptoms of dry stool and difficult defecation in patients with functional constipation;Increasing water intake and intake can reduce the frequency of manual defecation.4 There was poor consistency between clinical symptom typing and objective examination typing.Figure0;Table10;Reference139... |
