The Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality(CAMS)is a therapeutic framework that emphasizes a unique collaborative assessment and treatment planning process between the suicidal patient and clinician developed by David Jobes. It is widely used in world due to its flexibility and good effectiveness.CAMS is guided by a multipurpose clinical assessment, treatment planning, tracking, and outcome tool called the Suicide Status Form(SSF).The SSF contains a core assessment consisting of six items including psychological pain,stress,agitation,hopelessness,self-hate and overall suicide risk.It is the most important part of the risk assessment in the SSF,and has been confirmed have good reliability and validity. But it has not yet been introduced into China. Therefore, this study introduces SSF into China, and conducts the reliability and validity test of the core assessment among college students, and further analysis its impact on suicide risk. This research is divided into two parts.Study 1: Conduct a reliability and validity test on the core assessment in a sample of college students.First, the Suicide Status Form was formed by translated,back-translated and pre-experimented.Then,Core assessment were tested on 362 college students, using Psychache scale,Perceived Stress Scale,Hamburg-Hannover Agitation Scale,Beck Hopelessness Scale, and SelfDisgust Scale are used for convergent validity testing, while Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview is used for convergent validity testing and empirical validity testing. The results of the study found that:(1)the confirmatory factor analysis results show that the two-factor structure of the core assessment fits well(X~ 2/df =1.25,SRMR=0.02,RMSEA=0.03,NFI=0.99,RFI=0.97,TLI=0.99,AGFI=0.97),the chronic factors include psychological pain, hopelessness and self-hate,the acute factors include stress and agitation;(2)The correlation between each item of the core assessment and similar measures was between 0.37 and 0.72.The scores of each item of students who were diagnosed with suicide risk by Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview were significantly higher than those without suicide risk(P<0.05);(3)The Cronbach’sα coefficients of chronic factors and acute factors are 0.73 and 0.58,and the composite reliability is 0.78 and 0.70.The test-retest reliability is between 0.42 and 0.69.Study 2:Suicidal Behavior Screening Questionnaire and core assessment were conducted among 10,810 freshmen from a college in Tianjin. The results of the study found that:(1)(2)The normal group, the suicide ideation group, the pre-suicide attempt group and the suicide attempt group show significantly difference on psychological pain,stress,agitation,hopelessness,self-hate,and overall suicide risk.(3)Among all college students, psychological pain, agitation, hopelessness, and self-hate can predict suicide risk,self-hate has the greatest predictive effect;among suicide ideators,pre-suicide attempters and suicide attempters, psychological pain, hopelessness, and self-hate can predict the risk of suicide;(4)Psychological pain, hopelessness, and self-hate can predict the transition from suicide ideation to pre-suicide attempts,as well as the transition from pre-suicide attempts to suicide attempts;stress and agitation can predict the transition from suicide ideation to pre-suicide attempts, but cannot predict the transition from pre-suicide attempts to suicide attempts. In summary, the reliability and validity of the core assessment is good, and it can be used as an effective tool for suicide assessment and intervention, and can provide information for treatment.
