| Aim:1.This study aimed to develop a Childhood Fever Management Questionnaire and test its Validity and Reliability.2.Provide a suitable assessment tool to identify the level of Caregiver’s competences in managing Childhood fever.Methods:1.The questionnaire was compiled according to the theory of Knowledge,Attitude and Practice K-A-P.A literature review method,brainstorming method and semi-structured interview method were used to establish the initial items;2.Experienced experts were selected for two rounds of expert consultation to form the initial questionnaire.3.Results:1.According to the experts opinions,scoring and statistical analysis,the final questionnaire on the management of childhood fever was developed with a total of 54-item,including 24-item in knowledge,12-item in Attitude and 18-item of management behaviour.2.Validity and reliability test results: The reliability of the knowledge dimension KR-20 of the 《 Childhood Fever Management Questionnaire》was 0.578,the Cronbach’s α of the attitude coefficient was0.671 and the Cronbach’s α of the behaviour coefficient was 0.714;the test-retest reliability of the total questionnaire was 0.820,and the test-retest reliability of each coefficient was from 0.611 to 0.796.The content validity index S-CVI of the total questionnaire,the content validity index of each item and the content validity index S-CVI of each coefficient was(1.00).4 and 6 common factors were extracted for the attitude coefficient and the behaviour coefficient in the exploratory factor analysis,and they explained 60.978% and 60.496% of the total variance respectively.Conclusions1.The Childhood Fever Management Questionnaire evaluates the children’s fever management ability from the aspects of knowledge,attitude and behavior.2.The Childhood Fever Management Questionnaire has good Validity and Reliability and can be used as an effective tool to assess the ability to manage Children’s fever.Figures 4,Tables 19,and 76 references... |
