Objective:By observing and recording the clinical efficacy, maximum bladder capacity, residual bladder urine volume, incontinence clinical symptom scores and the pre-and post-treatment changes of incontinence quality of life questionnaire(I-QOL)in the treatment of post-stroke urinary incontinence(PSUI)with pressure moxibustion and foot transport sensory zone combined with acupuncture, the clinical efficacy of pressure moxibustion and foot transport sensory zone combined with acupuncture in the treatment of PSUI was evaluated to provide a theoretical basis for the clinical treatment of PSUI in Chinese medicine and improve patients’ urinary incontinence symptoms. Methods:Sixty patients with PSUI who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group of 30 patients each,in which the control group received tolterodine tablets;the treatment group was treated with pressure moxibustion of the foot transport sensory area combined with acupuncture for a total of 4 weeks, and the values of clinical symptom scores of urinary incontinence,I-QOL,maximum bladder capacity and bladder residual urine volume before and after treatment were observed and recorded in both groups and their changes. The clinical efficacy was evaluated by collating and analyzing the data between and within the groups.Result:(1)Comparison of clinical symptoms of urinary incontinence: after treatment, both groups showed a different degree of reduction, with a greater reduction in intervention group than in the control group and a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).(2)Comparison of maximum bladder capacity and residual urine volume: after the treatment, bladder capacity increased to different degrees in both groups and residual urine volume decreased,However, the treatment group improved better than the control group, with significant differences(P < 0.01).(3)Comparison of I-QOL between the two groups: I-QOL values in the both groups improved significantly after treatment, while I-QOL values in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, with significant differences(P<0.05).(4)The control group achieved a total clinical efficiency of 80%,whereas the treatment group achieved 90%,a difference that was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion:Pressure moxibustion of the foot transport sensory area combined with acupuncture can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with PSUI,reduce the clinical symptom score of urinary incontinence, increase the maximum bladder capacity, reduce the residual bladder urine volume, improve bladder function, and improve the quality of life of patients. |
