Objective: To evaluate the short-term and long-term efficacy of electroacupuncture(EA)combined with pelvic floor muscle training(PFMT)in the treatment of female urinary incontinence(SUI)through a randomized controlled trial. Methods: 50 female SUI patients who met the criteria were randomly divided into observation group(25 cases)and control group(25 cases). The control group was treated with ordinary acupuncture combined with PFMT,and the observation group was treated with EA on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated once every other day,3 times a week for 4 weeks. Before treatment, after treatment and at follow-up(6 months after treatment),urine leakage in 1h pad test, times of urine leakage in 72 h,ICIQ-SF score and I-QOL score were measured, and the differences in short-term and long-term efficacy between the two groups were compared. Results: 1.Urine leakage in 1h Pad test: Intra-group comparison: After treatment and follow-up showed lower and statistically significant differences in both groups than before treatment(P<0.05).Comparation between groups: the difference after treatment and follow-up was statistically significant(P<0.05);2.Times of urine leakage at 72h: Intra-group comparison: Compared with pre-treatment,both groups decreased after treatment and during follow-up,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparation between groups: the difference after treatment and follow-up was statistically significant(P<0.05);3.ICIQ-SF score: Intra-group comparison: After treatment and follow-up showed lower and statistically significant differences in both groups than before treatment(P<0.05).Comparation between groups: the difference after treatment and follow-up was statistically significant(P<0.05);4.I-QOL score: Intra-group comparison: After treatment and follow-up showed higher and statistically significant differences in both groups than before treatment(P<0.05).Comparation between groups: the difference after treatment and follow-up was statistically significant(P<0.05);5.Efficacy evaluation: The effective rate after treatment was 92% in the observation group,100% in the follow-up period, and 64% and 76% in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Both EA combined with PFMT and ordinary acupuncture combined with PFMT can effectively improve clinical symptoms of female SUI patients and improve their quality of life.2.Compared with ordinary acupuncture combined with PFMT,EA combined with PFMT has more significant short-term and long-term efficacy in the treatment of female SUI,which has clinical promotion value.
