| Objective Understanding the current state of healthy aging in the elderly in the community, analyzing the impact of general knowledge, elderly health-promoting behaviors, social network environment, and mental resilience on healthy aging, exploring the influencing factors and mechanisms of healthy aging in the elderly, and providing theoretical support for raising the level of healthy aging in the elderly are all goals of this research.Method This was a cross-sectional study.Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus epidemic, this study conducted a questionnaire survey with convenience sampling among the elderly people who met the inclusion criteria in the community during the period of December 2021 to September 2022,when the free clinic was carried out in Shushan District,Hefei City,Anhui Province. The questionnaire survey used the streamlined general data survey, healthy aging instrument, health promotion scale for the elderly, social network scale, and mental resilience scale.Data were entered into the Epi Data 3.1 software, and IBM SPSS 23.0 was used for statistical analysis. The current status of healthy aging and its affecting factors were examined using the t-test,variance analysis, pearson correlation analysis, and multiple stepwise regression analysis. In order to investigate the influencing mechanism and impact of associated factors on healthy aging,AMOS 21.0 software was employed concurrently.Results(1)The score of healthy aging instrument for the elderly in the community was(119.28±18.16),among which the average score of benevolent dimension was the highest(3.77±0.68),while the average score of social participation dimension was the lowest(1.65±1.00).(2)The results of the univariate analysis revealed that different age groups, gender, education levels, living situations, marital status, family per capita monthly income, employment status, primary source of personal economy, various self-rated health statuses, whether or not suffering from chronic diseases, types of chronic diseases, and Barthel score had statistical significance as well as the difference in healthy aging scores of community elderly people(P<0.05).(3)Pearson correlation analysis showed that healthy aging was positively correlated with health promotion(r=0.481),healthy aging was positively correlated with social network(r=0.548),and healthy aging was positively correlated with mental resilience(r=0.678).(4)Multiple stepwise regression analysis reveals that the key determinants of healthy aging among the elderly in the community are living situations,self-rated health status, and the types of chronic diseases.(5)The structural equation model demonstrates that social networks, mental resilience in old age,and health promotion in old age can all have an impact on healthy aging.Social networks can also have an impact on healthy aging indirectly through health promotion and mental resilience in old age.Conclusion(1)The elderly in this study has a low level of healthy aging;specific attention should be given to older women who live alone, have poor levels of education, and do not have steady sources of income.(2)For the elderly with low level of healthy aging, the level of healthy aging can be improved by improving mental resilience, social interaction and health promotion behaviors. |
