| Objective:To study the expression of SET domain branch 1(SETDB1)and spastic paraplegia-20(SPG20)in lung adenocarcinoma and normal lung tissues, and to compare the relationship between the expression of the two biomarkers and clinicopathological features,as well as the correlation between them. Methods:The lung adenocarcinoma tissue samples of 60 patients who underwent lung cancer resection in the Department of Thoracic surgery of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical College from August2020 to March 2022 were randomly selected as the experimental group, and the normal lung tissues of the same patient were selected as the control group, and the clinical data of the 60 patients were collected.SP immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of SETDB1 and SPG20 proteins in 60 cases of lung adenocarcinoma and normal lung tissues.Statistical analysis was used to analyze the difference of the expression of the two biomarkers in cancer tissues and normal lung tissues, the relationship between their expression level and clinicopathological features,as well as the correlation between them.Results:SETDB1 and SPG20 are mainly expressed in the nucleus. The expression of SETDB1 in lung adenocarcinoma was significantly higher than that in normal lung tissues(P<0.05),and the expression of SETDB1 was correlated with lymph node metastasis and tumor stage(P=0.034,P=0.023).The expression of SPG20 in lung adenocarcinoma was significantly lower than that in normal lung tissues(P<0.05),and the expression of SPG20 was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis and stage(P=0.038,P=0.002),but there was no correlation between the expression of SPG20 and sex, age, smoking or not(P>0.05).The expression level of SETDB1 was negatively correlated with SPG20(P< 0.05).Conclusion:The expression of SETDB1 in lung adenocarcinoma is increased, while the expression of SPG20 in lung adenocarcinoma is decreased.SPG20 may be involved in the occurrence and development of lung adenocarcinoma as a downstream factor of SETDB1,and the expression of two proteins is related to the clinicopathological features,so it may be used as a therapeutic target for patients with lung adenocarcinoma. |
