Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Acupuncture At Yang Meridian On Rheumatoid Arthritis Due To Cold And Dampness Blockage

Objective: To observe the effectiveness of acupuncture at Yang meridian acupoints in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis caused by cold dampness obstruction.Method: 60 cases of rheumatoid arthritis with cold dampness obstruction type were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group,with 30 cases in each group.On the basis of routine treatment in both groups,the control group received routine acupuncture therapy,while the experimental group received acupuncture at the Yang meridian acupoints combined with routine acupuncture.After 2 weeks of treatment,the therapeutic effect was evaluated.Observe the changes in RF,ESR,CRP levels,joint pain visual analogue(VAS)scale scores,health assessment questionnaire(HAQ)scale scores,disease activity(DAS28)scale scores,and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scale scores before and after treatment in two groups of patients,and evaluate clinical efficacy.Result:(1)After treatment,the RF,ESR,CRP levels,VAS scores,HAQ scores,DAS-28 scores,and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the two groups of patients decreased compared to before treatment(P<0.05).Moreover,after treatment,the RF,ESR,CRP levels,VAS scores,HAQ scores,DAS-28 scores,and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the treatment group showed statistical differences compared to the control group during the same period(P<0.05).(2)Overall effective rate: After treatment,the total effective rate of the acupuncture group combined with routine acupuncture was93.33%,while the total effective rate of the routine acupuncture group was 73.33%,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion: Acupuncture at the six yang meridian acupoints combined with conventional acupuncture has both therapeutic effects on rheumatoid arthritis caused by cold dampness obstruction.The combination of acupuncture at the six yang meridian acupoints with conventional acupuncture has a better therapeutic effect.Acupuncture at the six yang meridian acupoints combined with conventional acupuncture can reduce the levels of RF,ESR,and CRP in patients with cold dampness obstruction type rheumatoid arthritis,alleviate joint pain,improve joint function,and reduce clinical disease activity,Improve daily living abilities.
