Objective: To investigate the status of dyadic coping, intimate relationship and quality of life of breast cancer patients and their spouses, analyze the correlation between dyadic coping, intimate relationship and qualify of life of breast cancer patients and their spouses, and explore the actor-partner interdependence mediating effects between dyadic coping and quality of life of breast cancer patients and their spouses. In order to provide theoretical support for improving the quality of life of breast cancer patients and their spouses in the future. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study design, and 245 pairs of breast cancer patients and their spouses who received treatment in the inpatient department of a Grade A cancer hospital in Liaoning Province from October 2021 to October 2022 were selected by convenience sampling method.General information questionnaire, dyadic Coping Inventory(DCI),Locke-Wallace Marital Adjustment Scale and The Medical Outcomes Study 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey(SF-36)were used to investigate.Epi Data 3.1was used for data entry management, and SPSS 25.0 was used for statistical description and inference of data, including T-test,one-way analysis of variance,Pearson correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis.Amos 24.0 was used to test the mediation effect of actor-partner interdependence. Results: 1.A total of 262 pairs(524)of questionnaires were sent out to breast cancer patients and their spouses,260 pairs(520)of questionnaires were collected, and 245 pairs(490)of effective questionnaires were collected, with effective recovery of 93.51%.2.The scores of dyadic coping of breast cancer patients and their spouses were(129.19±17.96)and(127.91±15.29),respectively,and there was no statistical difference between them(P=0.190).3.The scores of intimate relationship of breast cancer patients and their spouses were(110.74±20.13)and(112.84±19.2),respectively,and there was no statistical difference between them(P=0.069).4.The scores of quality of life of breast cancer patients and their spouses were(103.91±15.37)and(120.65±13.03),respectively.The scores of physical health dimension were(55.31±18.14)and(79.63±15.34),respectively.The scores of mental health dimension were(54.83±18.01)and(70.76±17.18),respectively.The total score of life quality of breast cancer patients and scores of all dimensions were lower than their spouses, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.001).5.Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between breast cancer patients and their spouses’ dyadic coping, intimate relationship and quality of life.6.The results of hierarchical linear regression analysis of factors affecting the quality of life of breast cancer patients and their spouses showed that the duration of breast cancer patients’ illness and the negative dyadic coping of themselves and their spouses were the factors affecting the physiological health of breast cancer patients;Spouse’s negative dyadic coping is a mental health factor of breast cancer patients. The negative dyadic coping of spouses is the influence factor of their own physical health.Spouse’s education level, intimate relationship and negative dyadic coping are the factors affecting their mental health.7.The results of analysis of actor-partner interdependence mediation between the intimate relationship in breast cancer patients and their spouses dyadic coping and quality of life show that the actor-partner mediation effects of spouse relationship between spouses positive dyadic coping and physical health of are found(β = 0.059,P = 0.028;β = 0.031,P = 0.025),the actor-partner mediation effects of spouse intimate relationship between spouses positive dyadic coping and mental health are also found(β = 0.106,P < 0.001;β= 0.055,P = 0.011);the actor-partner mediation effects of spouse intimate relationship between negative dyadic coping and physical health are established(β = 0.025,P = 0.040;β = 0.026,P = 0.037),and the actor mediation effect of intimate relationship between negative dyadic coping and mental health is found(β = 0.046,P = 0.024),the actor-partner mediation effects are established(β = 0.046,P = 0.024,β = 0.047,P = 0.010).Conclusions: 1.The dyadic coping, intimate relationship and quality of life of breast cancer patients and their spouses were at normal levels.2.There was a significantly positive correlation between dyadic coping, intimate relationship and quality of life of breast cancer patients and their spouses.3.Both positive and negative dyadic coping of breast cancer patients and their spouses could affect the physical and mental health of their spouses through the intimate relationship of their spouses;Patients’ negative dyadic coping could only affect their mental health through their intimate relationship, which provides an empirical basis for future research on the couple-based intervention from the perspective of patients and their spouses’ dyadic coping,so as to improve their quality of life.
