Objective: This study was conducted in three different methods for axillary osmidrosis which include local injection of botulinum toxin A,elimination of the apocrine glands by small incision, and small-incision subcutaneous scratching.A holistic and comprehensive comparative evaluation was utilised, integrating the effect of postoperative, postoperative complications, recurrence rates after surgery, and other aspects of establishing therapy methods instructing for osmidrosis choice and enhancing the satisfaction of axillary osmidrosis surgery Methods:150 patients with axillary osmidrosis treated by three methods mentioned of the Second People’s Hospital of Wuhu City from January 2019 to January 2022.53 patients were treated by local injection of botulinum toxin A,45 patients were treated by elimination of the apocrine glands by small incision, and 52 patients were treated by small-incision subcutaneous scratching. The patients were followed up for half a year after treatment.Preoperative axillary osmidrosis, postoperative efficacy, complications, recurrence rate and satisfaction of each group were compared and analyzed statistically. Results: 1.There is no difference in the effective rate of local injection of botulinum toxin A,elimination of the apocrine glands by small incision and small-incision subcutaneous scratching for patients with mild axillary osmidrosis.Statistical analysis of the efficacy of patients with moderate axillary osmidrosis,P>0.05,no statistical significance.Statistical analysis of the curative effect of patients with severe axillary osmidrosis,P<0.01,there was statistical difference;2.Comparison of complications: the total incidence of postoperative complications in local injection of botulinum toxin A group was 2.8%,elimination of the apocrine glands by small incision was 27.7%,and small-incision subcutaneous scratching was 9.6%.3.comparison of satisfaction: local injection of botulinum toxin A was 83%,elimination of the apocrine glands by small incision was 75.6%,small-incision subcutaneous scratching was 69.2%.The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.In terms of therapeutic effect, the three methods have significant effects on patients with mild and moderate axillary osmidrosis, but there are significant differences in the efficacy of patients with severe axillary osmidrosis, and elimination of the apocrine glands by small incision was preferred.2.Among the complications, elimination of the apocrine glands by small incision was the most common, followed by small-incision subcutaneous scratching, and botulinum toxin A was the rarest.3.In terms of satisfaction, local botulinum toxin A injection,as the treatment with the least trauma, had the highest satisfaction, followed by small-incision subcutaneous scratching, and elimination of the apocrine glands by small incision had the lowest satisfaction due to complications.
