Research On Media Image Construction Of Anti-epidemic Workers

In the prevention and control of the epidemic,we have carried out a courageous fight against the epidemic.The anti-epidemic workers have made contributions to maintaining social stability and development and protecting people’s health.From medical workers to volunteers,community workers and police,many people are at the forefront of epidemic prevention and control.Thanks to their cooperation,cooperation and services,the prevention and control work is progressing so smoothly.In the fight against the epidemic,the research was carried out based on these questions: how the provincial media reported the fight against the epidemic,what kind of image of the fight against the epidemic,what kind of image construction mechanism of the media,and what kind of differences between the two media in the process of image construction.In this study,Shanxi Daily and Shanxi Evening News were selected as the research objects.Based on media construction theory,discourse analysis theory and framework theory,relevant reports of anti-epidemic workers were analyzed.Firstly,a total of 351 news samples from two media were selected to conduct data statistics from the quantity,genre and tendency of reports to analyze the overall situation of news reports.Then,from the macro theme structure,vocabulary,discourse style and rhetoric of the text discourse analysis.Third,on the basis of the above analysis and summary of the image of the anti-epidemic workers.In addition,this study also explores the mechanism of media image construction based on interviews with journalists of the two media.Finally,experience summary and thinking.The study found that the media reported on workers in various fields and compared the fight against the epidemic as a “war”,presenting the image of workers as“combatants”who took the initiative to fight on multiple fronts.In media reports,party members,medical workers,volunteers,community workers,and police officers are the ones with more descriptions and higher attention.Describing party members as “leaders”,medical workers as “Miner”,volunteers as “devotees”,community workers as “service providers”,and police as “gatekeepers”,there are also reports on other anti-epidemic personnel,and the media presents a diverse image of anti-epidemic personnel.The research also finds that the construction mechanism of the two media is similar in general,mainly from the aspects of construction convention,construction mode and discourse mode.The study summarizes some similarities and differences in the construction of the two media.The image of the two media workers is the same,but the differences are mainly reflected in the construction strategy,such as the two media have different reporting themes,column Settings,discourse styles and publicity modes.Finally,the paper analyzes some problems existing in the image presentation of the two media,and gives corresponding suggestions from the aspects of avoiding stereotypes,insisting on uniqueness and enhancing interactivity.
