The Clinical Study Of Zhibaidihuang Decoction On Treating Liver And Kidney Yin Deficiency Syndrome Knee Osteoarthritis Disease

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical efficacy evaluate the safety of Zhibaidihuang decoction in the treatment of liver and kidney Yin deficiency syndrome knee osteoarthritis disease.MethodsThe medical records of 72 patients with osteoarthritis of the knee with Yin deficiency syndrome admitted to Foshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2022 to December 2022 were analyzed.They were randomly divided into different group,each group include 36 cases.Treatment group was treated with Zhibaidihuang decoction,which was decocted with water,one dose daily;the control group was treated with Xianling Gubao Capsule(3 capsules twice daily),4 weeks of a course of treatment.The changes in VAS scores,knee range of motion,WOMAC scores,and TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups,and the clinical efficacy was evaluated according to the degree of improvement in TCM syndrome score.ResultsAfter treatment,there was statistic difference in VAS scores,TCM symptoms scores,WOMAC scores of pain,stiffness,mobility and total scores de knee range of motion creased in both groups compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).WOMAC stiffness scores were not statistically significant in both groups after treatment(P>0.05).The treatment group showed more significant decreases in VAS scores,knee range of motion,TCM syndrome scores,pain and mobility scores in WOMAC compared with the control group,and total scores(P<0.05).What’s more,in the treatment group,17 cases were excellent,11 cares were effective,the total effective rate was 93.3%;in the control group,12 cases were excellent,10 cares were effective,the total effective rate was 73.3%.It showed statistical significance between the two groups(P<0.05).ConclusionZhibaidihuang decoction could do well on treating liver and kidney Yin deficiency syndrome knee osteoarthritis disease,for example,it can reduce pain,relieve stiffness,and improve function,so that the quality of daily life of patients can be improved.And there was no obvious adverse reaction.It may provide a new clinical thought for the future treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
