Research On The Design Of Children’s Picture Books With Fantasy Themes

With the rapid development of social economy,the publishing of children’s picture books has been promoted rapidly,and there are countless picture books with various themes on the market.Excellent children’s picture books can not only help children expand their knowledge,but also cultivate their imagination.Therefore,it is of great practical significance and application value to study the design of children’s picture books.According to Piaget’s theory of cognitive development,children aged 4-8 years old are in the preoperational stage and have the characteristics of non-conservation of object cognition.Children in this age group like to read fantastical picture books,and imaginative picture scenes will stimulate their interest in reading.At present,most fantasy picture books in the domestic market are adapted from traditional fairy tales.There are some problems,such as insufficient story themes,lack of fantasy sense in picture scenes,and insufficient novel character design.Chinese classical fantasy literature is rich and colorful.From the harmonies of Qi Dynasty to the legends of Tang and Song Dynasties,from the magic novels to the journey to the west in Liaozhai,fantasy literature occupies a large proportion in the history of Chinese literature.Taking this as a starting point,the adaptation and creation of Chinese classical fantasy stories will increase the diversity of picture book stories.Strengthening the research of picture creation can make children’s picture books with this theme more fantastical and character design more personalized.Based on this,this thesis conducts research on children’s picture books with fantasy themes,so as to study and summarize the design theories and methods of children’s picture books with fantasy themes,which plays a role in promoting and promoting the creation of traditional Chinese fantasy story books and the popularization and promotion of Chinese fantasy literature.This topic studies and analyzes children’s picture books with fantasy themes through four ways: literature collection,field research,case analysis and summary.First of all,this thesis studies the story characteristics of children’s picture books with fantasy themes at home and abroad,summarizes the principles and methods of fantasy story creation,and analyzes the plot arrangement and role allocation of the story.Secondly,the thesis studies the picture characteristics of children’s picture books with fantasy themes at home and abroad,analyzes the creation methods of storyboard drawing and single picture composition,studies the rhythm and sense of rhythm between the whole picture in the picture book,and analyzes the ways in which the picture expresses the sense of fantasy.Finally,taking "Peach Blossom Land" as the creative blueprint,the story structure was adapted,and new characters were incorporated into the story to create the practical work "Peach Blossom".The research results of this thesis have reference significance in promoting the popularization of Chinese classical fantasy literature,enriching the subject categories of picture books and filling the vacancy in the market.
