| In the rapidly developing information age,micro-culture forms such as Weibo,We Chat,micro-movies,micro-fiction,micro-interviews,and micro-ads have become a new trend. In the educational system,micro-courses have gradually been accepted and recognized by society as a significant change in teaching media,as they can improve practical problems between teaching and learning.Micro-courses,with their concise and visual nature,as well as fast information dissemination, have gained increasing attention and application. In traditional education forms, students need to go to classrooms or teaching institutions for face-to-face learning, and time and space are limited. The emergence of micro-courses breaks this limitation and incorporates personalized, contextualized, embodied, and visual characteristics into teaching, making learning content richer, learning methods more flexible, and learning more efficient.Literature shows that micro-courses are widely used in the field of general education, but rarely used in special education. In recent years, the state has vigorously promoted the learning and use of national sign language to create an accessible communication environment for deaf and mute people.Through literature reading, the author found that due to the lack of unified sign language teaching materials and a systematic sign language teaching system, sign language education in China generally has poor teaching results. Therefore, combining micro-courses with sign language teaching and developing diverse teaching resources has positive practical significance in solving the difficulties faced by Zhangzhou Sunshine School in teaching "National Sign Language."The purpose of this study is to explore the theoretical research and practical application of micro-courses in the teaching of national sign language. The author designed and developed corresponding micro-courses to address issues such as mechanical teaching methods, limited teaching content, and poor learning atmosphere in the teaching process of national sign language at the Sunshine School in Zhangzhou City. The aim was to stimulate students’ interest in learning, improve the teaching effectiveness of the school, and promote the popularization of national sign language. This study used various research methods such as field observation, literature review, survey, interview, and case study, and was guided by multimedia cognitive theory, cognitive load theory, embodied cognition theory, constructivism theory, and dual-coding theory.Firstly, the feasibility of applying micro-courses to the teaching of national sign language was analyzed.Secondly, with the support of multimedia technology and using the ADDIE instructional design model, the "Sunshine Sign Language" micro-course was designed and developed.Teaching content was selected and teaching objectives were determined based on student characteristics, and a course teaching task list was designed for the micro-course content.Thirdly,a practical study was conducted on the implementation of the "Sunshine Sign Language" series of micro-courses in the sixth grade of Sunshine School in Zhangzhou City.Feedback was obtained through pre-tests,post-tests,and teacher interviews, and the teaching effect of the micro-courses in national sign language was analyzed. Finally, the "Sunshine Sign Language" We Chat public account was created to promote and popularize the learning and use of national sign language, and to assist in creating an accessible communication environment. After the research, the following conclusions were drawn: The "Sunshine Sign Language" series of micro-courses provide a unique learning experience for deaf and mute students. The course content uses beautiful graphics and dynamic animated videos, which are visually intuitive and vivid, creating a good learning atmosphere and stimulating deaf and mute students’ learning interests and motivation. In addition, the finely presented key knowledge of the micro-courses reduces the cognitive load on students, stimulates students’ intrinsic learning motivation, and thus improves the learning effect of deaf and mute students. The course provides personalized learning resources, allowing students to repeatedly study and practice according to their own needs, thereby improving their sign language expression ability and enhancing their confidence.Through the dissemination of the micro-course on the We Chat public account platform, the micro-course has also increased the popularity of national sign language, allowing more people to understand and learn this gesture language, and making a small contribution to creating an accessible communication environment between deaf and mute people and the general public. This study is not only an exploration and application on the technical level, but also a manifestation of care and respect for the deaf and mute community.Through the research and practice presented in this paper,we can gain a better understanding of the educational needs of the deaf and mute, and provide them with higher quality educational services. |
