| The online international Chinese language teaching model has become mainstream in the context of the COVID-19.However,the change in teaching mode makes the teaching methods commonly used in offline classrooms not fully applicable.The mode of online teaching Chinese as a foreign language and its teaching objects mainly for children all have strong particularity.Therefore,it is imperative to introduce new teaching methods into the field of online teaching Chinese as a foreign language for children.TPRS teaching method is a teaching method with vocabulary,story and reading as the main teaching steps.Firstly,through the theoretical level including the theoretical basis,elements and basic skills of the teaching method.This paper finds that TPRS teaching method has advantages in the application of online children’s vocabulary teaching as a foreign language.Then,this paper carries out the teaching design and classroom practice of applying TPRS teaching method on this basis.Then it evaluates the teaching effect from the aspects of classroom observation,test score,students’ and parents’ feedback.It is concluded that TPRS teaching method can effectively improve the effect of online teaching Chinese as a foreign language and improve the Chinese listening and speaking ability of online children learners.Finally,after practicing,observing,evaluating and reflecting on the teaching process.It is found that teachers applying TPRS teaching method should do a good job in lesson preparation from many aspects,absorb excellent teaching experience in the observation and exchange among teachers,and work together to build a shared TPRS online teaching case base.It provides case study implications for other online international Chinese teachers who apply the TPRS teaching method in their classrooms and promotes the development and progress of online international Chinese education for young children. |
